my second time in ibiza 2006.........

well just back yesterday morning and first thought as usual is "gutted to be back".

having spent new year in ibiza i was looking forward to this holiday more than any holiday i've ever had so expectations were high. had a great week with many funny and great moments.

but, to cut a long story short, i'm a little tiny bit disappointed with how i spent my week.

out of the whole week i done 2 major things, we love opening and pure pacha openings (both highlights of the week along with my first visit to bora bora, albeit only for a few hours when using my passout at space),

the rest of the week was spent in san antonio, down the west end with my mates getting wrecked. all good fun but not what i had waited a year for!

from last year there was only 4 of us back, along with 6 summer ibiza virgins so it was a bit different to what i had hoped (all my own fault!).

ended up ill a few nights which didnt help, ate a savannah burger which, when looking back, wasnt the best idea. didnt looked cooked enough and defo put me off the place i've spent the last 12 months raving about!

so having missed dc10, cocoon, amnesia, privilege, underground i'm very eager to go back and will be booking septmbers trip this week.

the downfall last week for me was the crowd i was with and our location, the thought of taxis to amnesia, privilege, space and pacha were too much after the hard nights out on the west end so we're gonna opt for PDB this time (especially now i realise how good bora bora is) and i'm gonna have an extended trip to accomodate WLS twice. suppose as you mature and get older you realise that its not all about getting out your face and having a mad forst 3 days following by a tough last 3 days.

booking flights for 15th - 25th september and will book accomodation separate, and that brings me on to the reason for sharing this with you. anyone got any recommendations for affordance apts in PDB with air-con that can be booked separately online?

much appreciated.

long live ibiza.

cheers

p.s although the above might seem like a negative review of last week i still had an awesome week, it was a great laugh. :D

i'm staying at sirenis jabeque appartments on saturday for two weeks, if you search for that on here you get nothing but good things said about it.

okay then, at least tell us which were your favourite bars in the west end :?:

don't beat yourself up about your week??

and i don't think staying in PDB will solve all of the problems you encountered, by your own admission, the group you went with perhaps wasn't up for experiencing exactly what you were.

gettin a taxi to any club on the island from San An shouldn't be an issue, it would only be an issue for other reasons (like your mates didn't wanna go or you were too pissed). staying in PDb only really means Space is nearby, you'd still need to get a cab to Privilege, Amnesia, Eden as well as Pacha + El divino (unless you liked walking;) )

bottom line is that ibiza is an endless treasure chest of things to do, places to see, events to experience, etc, etc and its jsut not always possible to experience them all - this trip wasn't wasted, you had fun, enjoyed WLS and at worst, you found what type of holiday you'd rather not have again.;)

most of our time was spent in the eden rooms, the group i was in loved it and we had a great night in there followed by play 2 a good few times. i was up for going to the bigger clubs but most were happy staying in the west end! one of my mates even spent his week in the highlander  8O

apart from that we watched the sunset at mambo and had parties in the apartments. good to let go for a week but not what ibiza is all about imo

na defo not beating myself up about it, i know its not long til i go back anyway! the group i was with (including a few first timers, a few not into the scene, an expecting couple etc) moulded the holiday i think. in september i'm going with 3 of the ones who appreciated it more so it should be good.

taxis were only an issue on a few occasions, like when everyone was out and no one fancies the long trip to a club miles away (albeit that would have loved but had never been to before so wouldn't know). and i think your last paragraph sums it up perfectly. roll on september :) 8)
