Just thought id let everyone know about my thoughts on my first trip to ibiza
Im 18 and went out with seven other fellas .
In short i loved it , i love clubbing but i was quite worried about my
friends who are not that into raving.
We stayed in the jet and the best thing about them was of course the location .
Saturday night we went up the west end for a bit of crack ,some laugh
Sunday we went to Space , we were in too bad a shape to go in during the day so we went in around midnight .
Layo and Bushwacka were very good as was Dj sneak who played quite dark and dirty ,
However the novelty of the suprise appearance from P diddy during Felix da Housekat quickly wore off
He kept saying the same crap verse the whole night and the music was always stopping and starting and the breakdowns were unnecessarily long
Felix isn't really that good of a dj anyway , his own edits of stuff have very long intros and breakdowns (eg Knights of the jaguar)
Having said that i love space such a brillant lay out and experience .
Bora bora also impressed me,its free and the music and atmosphere was brilliant , does anyone know who was playing there on wednesday night ,he played greece 2000 three drives and der drit draum hale bopp !
However some aspects of ibiza are very contrived, eg. every guy must have - an imaculate tan
- a six pack
- a mullet or other bad haircut
- a bad tatoo on their back
this "uniform" annoyed me quite a bit and showed lots of the people their to be fake/slaves to fashion
Space was unbelieveable on Tuesday , Carl Cox was very good on the terrace playing all the big tunes to get everyone going
However it was laurent garnier who stole the show , he plays very intelligent music and this encouraged Carl to play very seriously aswell resulting in a well structured and programmed set . Brilliant .
The last night i went to was deep dish in Pacha , they were unbelieveable, undoubtedly the best in the world .
I found the layout of Pacha to be a bit confusing and much prefered space. Pacha is also full of posers and vips with much of the tables being reserved for fat cats to sit on all night and drink champagne .
This high class element of Pacha makes for not such a good atmosphere as lots of people are only there to be beautiful and seen and not really to have fun and dance their socks off.
Deep dish would be far more suited to space .
Those are just my thoughts and opinions of my first ibiza experience .
I can't wait to go back at some stage and try the rest of the clubs ,
oh and thanks for the advice on the 5htp
