Ok, here goes, all a bit messy !

Spent the first day relaxing, saving ourselves for Space the next day.
Got to Space about 3pm, Sister Bliss playing a decent enough set. Alex Neri was absolutely superb, exactly my kind of house at the moment (and the tune of the day was definitely that Bushwacka mix of Walk Like An Egyptian !!!). Lawler played his usual brand of bleepy and infectious house. But the highlight of the day (and possibly summer???!) was the roof terrace ! I can't go on about it enough !
We decided to pop up to have a look, telling a few of our mates that "we'd only be 5 mins and then back down". We were still there 3 hours later !
It just somehow seemed to work, with some decent seating, a chance to talk shit to your mates, and then get up to do some crazy dancing to tracks by James Brown etc ! Phil Cooper was loving it !
Didn't venture inside much and I was a bit surprised at how quiet inside was between 6 and 10pm.

The next day was spent on the piss and then the obligatory trip to one of my favourite nights on the island, Cocoon. Got it at 1am to Laurent Garnier playing some amazing sounds. However, the night took a turn for the worst when myself and a mate got into a Coco Loco drinking comp with the tranny on the Terrace. I lost count of how many we had, but all I know is that I spent a fortune on them and the group I was with described me as "the worst state they have ever seen me in", which is some feat as i've been clubbing with them all for 5/6 years ! I actually remember very little (other than Sven Vath's set being very banging and then the night ending abruptly at 7am), then getting on the bus to San An ! I've been told some stories since of my antics which will ensure that the only time I let myself go like that again, will be Cocoon again next year !!!!!
:)

Got to bed about 11pm and didn't wake until 10pm the next night ! Decided that Tuesday was a write-off, so a couple of beers and back to bed, sleeping until the next morning. Must be getting old !
Wednesday we decided to give Subliminal a bash, but I got refused my guestlist (despite Lawler playing !!!), and they weren't getting 60 euros off me to see P Diddy have a go at ruining a decent night. So another fairly quiet one (although even the "quiet few beer" nights often turned into silliness back at the hotel, to the point that you look at your watch and realise that your "early" night has now moved past 9am......).

Thursday, had been meaning to check Mr C at Underground, but never made it. We ended up at Pacha for James Zabiela (what can I say about the boy that hasn't already been said) and Sasha (moody as ever, but some great tunes, including the Skylark dub of A-Studio and the Eric Prydz mix of Aloud's Sex And Sun). Must have been an early finish as I managed to get to Mambo the next day and hook up with a few people for Pete's show on Radio One. (hello to Makka and friend btw, thanks for the beers !!!).

A few of the girls checked out Hed Kandi on the Saturday (while we had to wait around for some mates arriving from the UK and sneaking into our hotel). Said it was a top night and very very busy. (thanks again Mr Collins for the names on the door).

Sunday, back at Space. Took a while to get going, wasn't really into Danny Rampling's first hour of jazzy house, although he picked it up towards the end and finished with an amazing bootleg of Staring At The Sun by U2 (and if anyone knows what this is - can they please PM me??!!!).
A Man Called Adam came on next to do a 3 track PA. Now i'm sure their music is fantastic (and that woman can definitely sing !!!!), but it just seemed to kill the Terrace as no-one could dance to it. I appreciate Space trying to do something a bit different, not sure if it worked though. Groove Armada were Groove Armada and another moment was them finishing with Linus Loves The Terrace (a bit of a personal touch, as me and my group are from Glasgow/Edinburgh and know the guy who made it). Then the sound system packed in before Lawler played another blinder, finishing with his mix of Bombdogs. Grabbed a beer with him and headed inside where Layo & Buckwacka sounded excellent (and hello to Craigy B from here, who I found when I lost everyone else !!!). Stayed till about 5am, alternating between the roof terrace and Sneak. How hot was Space that day though??!!!

DC10 quickly became a write-off, as we wanted to show a mate Cocoon later that night, although we missed that as well as we all got horribly drunk in Tijuana's !!!

Now for the undoubted night of my holiday and one of the best nights of my entire life, Coxy at Space.
Got down nice and early to watch it fill up, some nice stuff on the Terrace before Cox came on (and met Nish before the madness !!!). Then inside for Laurent Garnier and all I can say is "wow". Simply one of the best sets I have ever heard, it's so refreshing to hear music that I know nothing about, and Blue Monday and Prodigy's Out Of Space were moments I will try to describe to people for years to come ! You could also tell him and Cox were loving it, which is what it's all about. Both went b2b for the last few hours, although we bailed out at 6am after 7 hours of non-stop dancing ! (and po-going !!!).

Wednesday, now feeling half a stone lighter and my jeans needing to be held up by a belt, we get down to Subliminal for 2:30am and the mighty Josh Wink playing some great stuff, and not at all as "acid" as I thought. Morillo was boringly average, but the sex show at the side of the dancefloor kept us amused, as did some crazy Italians behind us, top lads.

Thursday, I was feeling as rough as I ever have in my entire life, but we got out for a curry and then I settled down for an early night as we had to be out of the hotel at 12pm the next day. I still don't know: 1. How I was persuaded to go out and 2. How I actually made it out, but we got down to Renaissance for Deep Dish, although I had regular trips to the toilets with it, ahem, coming out of both ends ! Tried hard to get into it and the best track of the night was King Unique's mix of the new Dirty Vegas one. With 90 mins sleep and some frantic packing, we left the hotel. Managed to grab some kip at a mates hotel and along to Mambo again to listen to Pete. Got home early Saturday morning and have found my sleep patterns totally screwed since, which doesn't help as I have to move house, do a remix and a gig all in the space of 10 days as well as being back to the 9-5 ! No rest for the wicked.....

Photos to come....
