About Nick Polydor
Nick held a residency at Leicester's Club Alternative and DJed at Leicester University alongside two friends, under their "Codetheeves" guise, and their early productions were played heavily in Midlands clubs. Their collaboration with Damondo, the electro-house track "In The Night", received favourable comments and was supported by Nic Fanciulli and Anil Chawla, amongst others. On his own, Nick has warmed up for young garage/grime DJ prodigy Little Charlie and Heartless Crew's MC Bushkin. On "Beyond The Beats", though, Nick is putting his usual house sound to one side and showcasing his blend of progressive and melodic trance.
About the guest DJs
Saturday 25th February: Phil Pritchard
Phil started DJing about two years ago. He plays a blend of trance and tech-trance. He was influenced by going to events such as Gatecrasher, Tidy Weekender, Godskitchen and Goodgreef.
He is a resident at Sheffield hard dance night Propulsion, which started in 2005. His favourite DJs are Eddie Halliwell, Marco V, Paul van Dyk and anyone else who bangs it out!
Saturday 4th March: Jim Thomas B2B Ben Thomas B2B RJ Thorne B2B Tom Yelland B2B the random Frenchy they call Dazman! Passion 11th Birthday Afterparty Mixup Special @ Jim and Ben's house
This bunch of ruffians and ragamuffins are so disoragnised that they haven't yet managed to cobble together a short biography. Come on lads, sort it out! Listen out for bizarre shout outs, crazy discordant singing duets and lots and lots of trainwrecks! Still, if their last get together, "Bank Holiday Madness" is anything to go by, then these boys sure know how to rock a party!
Saturday 11th March: Darren Williams
UK Trance Producer Darren Williams has been recieving plays from jocks such as Above & Beyond and Jon O Bir since 2005. Recently he was signed for his collaboration work with Matt Kirkland on behalf of their track Dark Territory - Mass Consumption. Look out for it on Jon O Bir's Conspiracy Recordings around March 2006 including Activa on the remix.
He has just recently taken to the decks as a form of expression, and his 30 minute guestmix will be an example of that.
Saturday 18th March: Chris Shaw
Chris Shaw is a fellow resident at Propulsion alongside Phil Pritchard. Recently his DJing profile has been on the rise with appearances at Noggins in Sheffield and Rebellion in Manchester, alongside hard house star John Doe. His collaboration with MDA & Spherical, "Endorphin" has been signed by London's Oblivion Recordings and is due out within the next couple of months. His hard-dance/hard house style always goes down a storm with clubbers, and his guestmix is bound to be no different.
