my lovely Ibeefa Cupra is now overheating

car overheating on way home from work and garage said they are too busy to look at it, suggested driving to wimbledon, but that will take ages and i dont need my car overheating on the way there,

just what i need yet more expense b4 sw4 and holiday great not

Have you tried taking the thermostat out?

Usually in the top hose where it joins the rad.

If it's sticking closed then the water can't circulate.

Check if both pipes are hot. If the inlet to rad is, and the outlet isn;tthen it's either the thermostat or the radiator has a blockage.....

(Happened to me a few years back)

If it is the thermostat you can run without one for a while but they are pennies to replace

Not got a Cupra - I had a late 90's Ibiza and it was less than £20.....

its in the garage now, just hoping it aint gonna cost too much, dunno if it will be fixed today tho probably tomorrow bloke said, plus, he thought it could be the air -con fan hope not cos they aint cheap.
