Olla all,

As I am now back from Ibiza since Friday night I feel I should write something about my amazing holiday. I am still slightly suffering from sore eye syndrome from lack of sleep but I will try my best to type (I think I need glasses!)

Anyway I went to Ibiza for the first time last year and absolutely loved the place, nothing can beat the atmosphere and there is definitely something about the place, I just cant put my finger on it, my friend I went with both times also said the same, there is just that urge to go back again and again. Espec when we were leaving and the sun was just going down and we looked back at the sea!
I am already wanting to go back later this year but I am putting that down to having the blues of being back! I am sure it will fade eventually............but next year is a different story.

I wont waffle on for too long will try to keep it brief.

We stayed in the Bellamar hotel in San An Bay. We stayed out the way in Port Des Torrent last year and spent a fortune in cabs getting all over the island so we chose this hotel to the fact we were closer and would be nearer to San An to get coaches to nights out, cabs be more willing to take us back etc etc.

Well the hotel was beautiful, absolutely loved it and would go back without hesitation. Would love to give a mention to the receptionist Hose, the guy was a legend - mainly due to me being a idiot and leaving the keys to my suitcase at home and me then panicking all the way about how I would get my clothes out - but he soon came to the rescue, cue much giggling and I had my case opened without the lock being broken. Result!

Our first night was mad, we arrived about 9 and there was music playing everywhere, people on balconies enjoying drinks etc we did think it looked a bit rowdy to start with but we were soon proved wrong, it was fine. We decided to have an easyish one so got some beers, sat on the balcony then popped out to Bar M - I just love this bar for some reason. We met a girl and a guy from the RAF and they came and joined us for a few drinks, pretty random but there you go. We marvelled at the girls in the Manumission outfits (would have loved to gone there again), one even had a cute hand bag style dog under her arm in a PVC jacket!

The rest of the week involved so much sunbathing around the beach which was literally a crossing over the road and also around the pool. I couldnt believe how hot it was, I wasnt expecting it, it got to the point of sweating so bad a dip in the sea or pool was urgent!
But yeah we were total beach/pool bums during the day, we didnt go on any trips or go anywhere but it was what we wanted, we both felt we needed a week to unwind so to speak so laying in the sun suited us fine. And we both topped up lovely tans of course!

We were half board at our hotel so cant really comment on any restaurants we went to. The food was pretty nice in the hotel though, apart from one night when we thought the lasagne disagreed with us but more about that later. There was also more then one stop to the late night Burger King near Bar M but what can you do when you have the munchies, I dont do it at home! (much!)

I am also sad to report back there wasnt a great deal of clubbing but this was mainly due to the fact we did so much last year we wanted to just try and go to the nights we didnt go to last year and then pretty much just try and enjoy the place and have a break from home.

So we went to Hed Kandi at El Divino - really enjoyed this and met so many nice people including the legendary Essex Boys (you always find someone from back home including the Essex Borat and yes I have a pic) also met some nice Americans from Laguna Beach and a lovely Brazillian guy (he said I had a lovely smile - works for me!)

We then had tickets to Es Paradis water party just to see what all the fuss was about, we were all sorted to go but as I said something must have happened as we hadnt drunk any more then we usually do but we were both overcome with sickness which was odd for both of us, our poor rep who was coming along for the night (his night off) had to look after us, it got to the point where he had to take us both home. Well just me was ill first so I fell asleep on his couch next thing I knew my friend was vomiting everywhere too, the poor guy, but somehow we managed to get home, the walk took about 40 mins, most of the night is a blur and how we made it one piece if not for him I have no idea. So thanks to poor old Graeme. We never got to apologise as he swapped hotels a few days before that night but we did have a pair of his jeans so we left a note with them so hopefully that got back to him!

That pretty much ruined the next day. Now dont get me wrong we like a drink and have been more then merry many times but this was seriously out of character for us. We are debating it was the hotel food. We were both still suffering the next day more then your usual hangover, it got to the point I couldnt even move out of bed and I have never been like that in my whole life. My friend also had chronic stomach pains all day and stomach problems. I was even sick the next day which again is unlike me. It was so bad even sitting in the pool to cool off with the water slightly lapping made me queasy. Not nice at all.

But apart from that it was yet another great holiday, shame we didnt get to more places but this year we just made the most of the cafes, bars, mingling with people which was still very enjoyable.

My next destination in Ibiza is more up towards Space and Bora Bora as Bora Bora was top of my list to do this year but we never quite made it there. Was a shame too as our guy mates from back home were staying there in the Jet apartments so we both said if we had worked it out better we could have gone to theirs and stayed over gone in and out of Space etc but never mind there will definitely be other times.

So to sum up, not a lot of clubbing and DJs to report back on guys but still an amazing holiday, so many great memories, so many friends made, so many laughs, so many great pics, cant wait to do it all again. As I already said Playa Den Bossa is next on my list.

There is probably things I have forgotten but my brain is still out there so you have to bear with me if I add things later on!

Closing times

What time are the clubs closing this year. It says on the pacha website it closes at 6am which is rubbish. They used to go on till the dj finished until last year when they got a bit more strict and stopped at 7.

I hope they dont close at 6am

The last DJ slots normally say 6am until close

I think it will be down to how busy it is?
