My Cat Bubbles is going for dental surgery on Wednesday

She is 14 years old and will be going for a full major extraction due to the deteriorated state of her teeth. She's already missing a front fang, now the rest are due to come out. The vet gave her some major antibiotics to counter the existing bacteria in her mouth, but the teeth have to go.

Please leave her a treat that she can gum!

Also, the baby cat in the picture with her is now two and was diagnosed yesterday with epilepsy. She's had some major seizures in the past month, one of which I saw this Saturday - it was the most violent and hideous thing I have ever seen happen to a cat. She is now on phenolbarbital daily.

These cats get better healthcare than I do! But they're worth it. :)

A cat with dental issues... that's one I haven't heard before.

I suppose it's logical that it could happen... just haven't run across it (nor epilepsy in a cat!)

I never ran across health problems like this until recently as well! The cat with epilepsy may have asthma as well - the doctor said she sounded as if she were wheezing.

The dental problems can be staved off by brushing the cat's teeth - but who can possibly do that besides a professional?
