day one sunday 11/7/04

arrived about midday went for a walk, bite to eat few drinks, decided we would just take it easy and have a few drinks and an earlyish night as we'd been on the go from 4am. went to Itaca for dinner and had the fajitas big thumbs up there:D

day two
didnt really do much through the day, few drinks and a bite to eat saving our energy for manumission. went to itaca for a few pre-manumission cocktails then got the bus to privilege.
when we got in the party was in full flow, really enjoyed manumission not only for the shows but the music was really good as well. tune of the night for me was a remix of "these sounds fall into my mind" was really good and the whole place went nuts to it, there was also a really good remix of kelis milkshake

days 3,4 and 5
we just took it easy, topping up the tans and burning generally, we were supposed to go to morillo but dawn didnt feel like it and we decided not to go

day 6(Friday)
sunbathed a while then went to Savannah for a lovely dinner before going to mambo for pete tongs show. realy enjoyed having a few drinks listening to some quality music on the beach, went bck to the appartment and got changed and wnet to pacha for pure pacha......What can i say about pacha that hasnt been said before, it was my 1st time but it certainly wont be the last, the place is absoutely amazing, better than i could have ever imagined. Layo and Buswhacka were surprisingly really good, it was a hard tech house set but really warmed the crowd up for pete tong who was on great form and played a great set. tune of the night for me Deep Dish-Flashdance

Day 7
just a relaxing day went to Tijuana mexican restaurant and it was by far the best grub of the holiday, i would recommend it to anyone. the food is great and also very reasonably priced, most main courses are below 10 euros

Day 8
Judgement sunday, went in and went into the funky room for a while where the music was really good, then we went out to catch the end of ferry corstens set which was what u would expect, bangin trance. then it was Judge Jules who played a very good set of vocal trance tunes, amazing to watch djs using cd instead of vinyl, is vinyl on its way out? the cds enable the djs to play with the tracks a lot more... tune of the night tiesto adagio for strings

Day 9
was feeling a little bit rough so never really did much today justa few drinks

Day 10
Took part in my 1st spotlight meet up, got a text message from robo and we met up with him, anna, dave, andi, sam and graham in bora bora. 1st time in bora bora nad i can safely say i was really impressed, we then made teh short journey to another bar where we got tickets for space for 15 euro and had a drink before heading over to carl coxs' night. 1st time in space and all i can saw is wow, what a great club, carl cox played a great set on the terrace and really ahd the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. went into the main room which has one of the most powerful sounds systems around imo. went exploring and found a really col funky house room upstairs as well as a terrace which was really nice to relax in

Day 11
went into ibiza town shopping(against my better judgment) women can spend so much money on so little

day 12
the biggest disappointment of them all, went to cream or cram as it should be called
the place was far too packed and there was no escaping it, the music was 1st class, with tiesto playing a great set and the music in the house room was great also, left before PVD started coz we'd both had enough and were getting more and more pissed off

day13
topping up the tan then met robo at mambo for pete tongs show, sunset was a non event as it was cloudy..............then we did the unthinkable.......met everyone else from spotlight and got a bit pissed in a buy one get one free bull bar and then ventured down to the west end.....God its a jungle down there thankfully i was pissed enough to survive, went in the least busy bar and had some drinks and free shots(tequila not good for u) then we thought it would be nice to go for a midnight swim. there we were swimming away when a random guy comes into the water takes off his shorts and does what can only be imagined to be a huge poo in the sea, queue drunken spotlighters exiting post haste

day 14
really bad hangover slept in till 2 then went to the beach then went back to tijuana for food before meeting all the others in bar m as they were all going to hed kandi....had a few drinks and were nearly talked into goin to hed kandi even though our bus left at 9am and we hadnt even packed yet, decided to go back and try and get some sleep, which never happened so should have went out.........

got home yesterday absolutely shattered and its really crap being back to normality and the rain

best night a toss up between pacha and space with pacha probably winning

regrets, not going to space on sunday

especially as everyone got on the guest list for the sunday we left

big thanks out to everyone i met from spotlight...pm me when u get back online and we can swap details

yeah mate was only my 2nd time there last time i went we were a little blind to it all but this time we got around a lot more thankfully

its amazing the stuff that you can miss by being lazy and not travelling about

el divino and dc 10 have to be done next time

Great review Truebluelad, you've summed it all up for me, there's nothing left for me to say really........ :p Except I had a great time, and it's crap to be back in sunny uk, think we should plan our next trip!?

......oh yes, I nearly forgot! Things i wish we'd got to do.....

El Divino, heard so much about it and am dying to know what it's like now!
Never got to Formentera, which is really annoying considering about all the ranting about wanting to go there I did before we went!

Enjoyed seeing Bora Bora and Playa D'en Bossa, it educated me and gave me a whole new perspective that there really IS life in Ibiza outside San Antonio, would probably consider staying here in the future.

Going to stop talking about it now because it's just making me want to go back more and more!! :(

thanks for the review. good to hear u enjoyed your vacation.
goals for next time - sundays@space, circoloco@dc10, cocoon@amnesia, la troya@amnesia, hed kandi@el divino.
live up to them, u won't be disappointed... :D

alrite robo mate

its crap being back, im seriously getting depressed

was great meeting everyone as well, will have to get all the contact details when everyone is back

kandi was ok.

but space rocked! met up with james, and spent a bit of time with him.

all the security were saying its the busiest they have seen space in a long long time. we stayed on the new roof terrace for a while.

heard a few good things about them, they were playing at tramps in tenerife when my mates were there

so what was el divino like?

was space even better since u were guest list?
