Murrays Out...

just being a spoilt brat... he does not support England, so I will not support him.

stupid, but he has shot himself in the foot for what he said

Not anti-Scot... anti Murray! I thought it was terrible what he said, despite knowing thousands of English fans had camped outside Wimbledon waiting to cheer him on. It does nothing for English/Scottish relations does it?

only when it comes to sport Clara - i love your country but have heard so much against england from Scotish and Welsh people, and to top if off your young tennis player has a pop at us and now expects us to support him??? Now way

I'm definitely not anti-Scot. I just dislike Andy Murrary and would do so no matter where he came from.

I think it's usually fairly harmless. There are plenty of people up here who support England and those that don't, it tends to be 'harmless banter'.

You do get idiots who get irrate by England and seem to spend more of their time shouting at England yet don't bother to support their home nation but I'd say these are in the minority. Certainly those articles in the press about kiddies in England shirts being attacked, whilst I sadly don't doubt they happened, have very much been blown up by the media. You see plenty of England shirts and flags up here and I've never seen or heard any problems occuring.

aye... and i hasten to add the child in question was assaulted by a twat in a Rangers top.

Anyone with even the slightest knowledge of sectarianism will know that this just doesn't compute!

I agree with Clara - harmless banter. Yes I was delighted they went out, but I don't hate English people. Its all blown way out of proportion. You should liken it to the banter between local rivals. I think Murray was having a laugh at a press conference when he said what he did. Get a ****ing grip.

Personally, I think he's a bit of a loudmouth ****, and I think its great for tennis to have a new young upstart not afraid to shoot his mouth off. His backpeddling in the media recently has been a bit cringeworthy though. Shoulda stuck to his guns :D

Also, I come from Southfields, "the home of Wimbledon tennis", was born and grew up there and I dislike tennis and all the pomp that goes with it with a passion 8O

I'm sensing some anti-Scot feelings on here.

You misunderstand - No-one in England hates the Scottish, merely pitys them.

You're just a nice, charming, crime fuelled, drug ridden harmless country.

Let's face it, Trainspotting was be the Scottish Big Brother, only they were allowed a whole town to live in.

You honestly don't appear on any Englishmans 'bothered' radar. Certainly not whilst France, Germany, Italy, and Australian are still on the world map. ;)
