MSN Virus

Got one last night, a seemingly innocent link from a well known mate. (says "Is This You....*link*")

It now sends out that link to all my contacts. It won't let me on any site to download a fix and my Norton Antivirus now doesn't work and won't re-install.

Dirty bastards.

Any ideas how to get rid of it?

Something similar happend to me. I had to reboot my computer, and that got rid of the virus.

Run Spybot, and Ad-aware, that should remove the virus/spyware

and while you're at it, get a program called ZoneAlarm.

It's a great Internet firewall with virus protection built in and a special IM program protection system. The new version has anti-spyware built in too. 8)

.....you need to find out which virus it is...(phone Computeractive)...then using another computer ,download a patch onto floppy disc or cd....then run that on your Pc...et voila .....
