More Abramovich spending

Anelka's on his way down the M6 then.....

Should fit in nicely at the bridge with Lamps, Sheva an the other money grabbing lazy b4stards...

Ahem... where to start, Jammy?

Lampard lazy? No way. He starts more games per season than most clubs play all year. and it's a rare match where he rests on his laurels.

Money-grubbing... ok, a couple of our players might fall into that category. But look at ones like Drogba, who you might argue came for the money but plays his heart out for the team.

And your title, more Abramovich spending.... wrong! Since Chelseea made a mint off Arjen Robben over the summer and spent little in comparison, I doubt the club will be asking Roma for a handout on this one.

We certainly needed a striker... not sure if Anelka is the one but maybe he's finally blossoming after playing at 1456 clubs.

Lampard NEVER works in midfield. Essien and Mikkel do all the running for him, just like Makelele used to. Very overrated but bangs in goals so why drop him if you can cover his shortfalls?

but I think it was 1458 clubs for Anelka ;)

yeah cos he was **** at arsenal........:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
I've seen his stats. True, he had one good year at Arsenal after which they sold him to Real where he was lackluster. Likewise at PSG. Much better at Man City but I take it there were some personality issues there, also something to worry about.

Got good reviews at Bolton (from his colleagues, not to mention a good goal scoring record) so hopefully this is where it all comes together.

good buy for them, maybe too much spent but thats the way football goes.

he'll score them goals but he's a tempramental little ****er so it'll be interesting to see how he fits in................actually he is probably at the right club ;)!

JJ - not sure I can argue with you there

Deano - Might actually have been a bargain... First 30 minutes with a shot saved and another off the underside of the crossbar :!: Great debut. Plus, no "premier league adjustment time" to speak of. I'm beginning to think we've done the right thing.

Anelka is a proven quality goal scorer, pretty much kept us in the prem in Keegans final season, now we should see what he can do with a good team around him.
