Ah! I totally forgot. Still haven't booked your trip?

I'll call his wife right now... I think she went with him on that Maldives trip. If not, I'm in trouble because he's somewhere on an Arctic expedition right now and not quite reachable.

OK, consulted the wife of my friend who flew Qatar. She said that the service was good. The food was something with curry in it (didn't sound like she was excited by this, but I see that as a plus :) ) Their flight to the Maldives passed without incident.

The one drawback she mentioned was that the airport in Doha is a bit small. Apparently there's only one set of bathrooms where a long line forms (so do what ya gotta do on the plane ;) ) and there's not much there in the way of amenities.

I hope you don't have a long layover!

i read it was a bit small... but getting there and spending 4hrs pacing about like a fruitcake cos there was no where to sit while waiting for your flight to be called wasnt fun!

12 'gates' while they still build the rest of the place!

cant fault the service of the airline tho... never been fed so much on a flight before! the HK flight was the inaugural one, and they gave everyone a presentation case with a pair of (plastic?) jade chopsticks and a turtle..

cant complain tho bought 200 cigs for $12 - mind you i smoked half of em waiting for my connecting flight.
