Hi, Ive heard that these are quite dangerous to do is that right? are they easy to handle? do you need a drivers license to drive one?

Thanks :)

There are loads of posts about this if you do a search. My personal opinion is dont even go there. In 2000 a good friend of mine hired one and was killed on Ibiza by a van who ran through a red light, he didnt have a chance!!

Hola em,

Use the search option above and you'll find lots of posts re this subject.

I've been driving a scooter for the last 7 years and you need lots of training to get in the middle of the traffic with them. It's not a bike and the pavement in Ibiza is not the best for a newbie. And, if you are british, add the fact that you are habituated to drive other sense. Other thing to consider is that, if I'm not wrong, most scooters to rent have small wheels and that make it still more complicated.

Cheers

Thanks! Is it better to hire a car then? I am stayin in Portinatx so want to be able to move about easily - but not if its dangerous!

Definitly, specially staying up in the north.

We hired a car last year for the first time and would definately recommend it. Dont forget your driving license
