Mobile Phone Repeater/Booster

Am considering getting one of these installed at our villa where we only receive one or two bars of signal with a frequent drop out and end up with no signal. Has anyone had any experience of these? They say you are supposed to aim them in the direction of the nearest mast, we are on a hill side so are limited to where we could aim.

The one I am am looking at would be Dual Band frequency, just wondered if anyone has used or installed them?

Cheers

If you can get an ok to start signal, eg if you stood in one certain place and it is reliable, Put the Ariel there and it amplifies/relays the signal "around" they are not bad, & with a decent antenna, pick up better than most mobile`s, But don`t forget if you have ****e to start, amplify it and it`s just a bigger pile of,,,,,, As for the dual band,, you need at least that, some carriers are on 900 some 1800 so that coveres voice calls, But beware this does not do 3g, If you have Iphone/android etc you may get very slow data but you may want to think about a better amp.

Cheers Tim, yep that's my concern wether I will just amplify a whole load of nothing as the signal is so intermittent and it doesn't stay put in one place. As we rent the villa out and feedback from guests has been lack of phone signal I may just have to give it a go and see how we get on.

Thanks.
