Im in the market for a new device. Here are the musts.

Megapixel Camera
Memory Card Slot (as ive got an unused 512mb card kicking about)
Mp3 Player with standard earphone jack.

Was going to get that new Sony w800i but its just got the usual earphone connection which is rotten from past experience. I want something fairly stylish, preferably cheap, and NO PDA's!!! (so Morbyd, I don't need a 10 paragraph report on why I should get your pDA :lol:).

All help appreciated :)

Best Camera on the market 2.0Mega Pixel , comes with 64MB memory, can upgrade to 2GB card - Has everything you're looking for and has some great features

I've had mine 3 months, cost me nothing from Voda - Will not be changing for a while...
 
K750i is brilliant and sounds great with adapter and decent headphones. Camera's on all other phones are shit in comparrison.
 
Its okay guys you don't need to convince me, ive had the K700i for 12 months. The whole thing about the earphone jackl, is that the connector on the K700i is shit, and its the same on other sony erricson models.

does that adaptor wobble? my sony earphones wobble about, and it wont charge from the wall anymore, ive had to buy a desktop stand charger which i charge batteries in. id be on the bus listening to the radio, and the slightest wobble would render my earphones dead and id have to reconnect the radio again. very annoying.

does this adaptor work pretty well then? if so, i'll get the w800i.

thank god its not a nokia. 6 years of misunderstanding mobiles ended last year when i got my sony. best phone ive ever had.
 
On experience with 3 months daily use K750i + Adaptor (in addition, used regularly underneath bike leathers / Helmet (lot of fuss / cables being pulled)) & no wobbles or loss of sound yet.

Upload some mp3's to the memory card and play them.. simple!

(I have a 6680 too. Only downside is that it can run slowly sometimes (keeping up with your menu selections)

K750i is a good handset but it depends how desperate you are for a new phone.

Nokia and Motorola have some new ones out late October - 2 megapixel cameras will become the norm at the end of this year......

I kinda thought there would be some extra feature for the mp3 player but then the media player is enough. Okeydokey 8)

I know it is Morbyd I just don't need one but I knew that unless I said that I'd get my ten paragraph report on why I should buy one!

then Chewie would come in and deride yours in favour of another, then before you know it this thread would be 100 replies long 8O
 
I wouldn't have given a 10 paragraph report. I would have calmly and concisely laid out the advantages of the HP iPaq hw6515 Mobile Messenger.

Maximum 9 paragraphs :lol:
 
k750i is an excellent phone ,but the w800i is really something else, the mp3 player is excellent and the camera is 2mp and gives very good pictures! well worth getting
 
i think you mean k700i. k750i has 2MP camera as well, presumably plays MP3's as the K700i does too. I dont really know what the difference is, other than the w800i looks better :o)

Interested in this little N91 gizmo, also looking at the Nokia N90 with the Carl Zeiss lens. N91 seems to be what I was hoping the w800i was. Ie. Called a walkman cause it was setup for audio. what an OVERSIGHT on the part of Sony not to design this with a standard headphone input. It seems to be because they like to have the hands free with the headset. I DONT CARE! I wont be using those rubbish earphones anyhow!!! And if someone rings me, Im big enough and smart enough to take my earphone out first!
