Morning all!
Can anyone help with this question?

Can we buy sim cards in Ibiza? (Or is that ON Ibiza?)
Would really like to be able to sms or call people back home to tell them what a fantastic time we are having!

And if you can, does anyone have any idea how much they are? We will be there for 2 weeks, so just need a temporary number etc...

yes you can buy sim cards.

i think the cheapest is 25 euros which you can top up as required.

there are 3 networks amena movistar and vodaphone and they all have plenty of shops in the towns - you'll need to check which is the best tariff for phoning out of europe (they all have websites showing the rates)

just make sure your mobile isn't 'tied' to another provider

An alternative to using a mobile is to use a public phone. They seem to be far more common than in the UK. There's also a cheap phone service that you get if you dial 902 902 952, wait for the message (it's in English) and then dial the UK number. It's only about 3p a minute after 8pm or 5p before that.
