looking at the events I saw this advertised for 17th and 18th September in San an, any idea where it is exactly and what happens

  • From: 17 September to 18 September
  • Great atmosphere. Medieval themed stalls selling spices, food, novelties. Acrobats and other street entertainment. All in costume. No more details as yet. Check "Events" again nearer the time.
 
Result! We are over 16th to 20th, my bday on 18th. Fell in love with San An during our winter stay. This is a "must do".

It is much maligned .. even with all the tourists once you've seen it in the quiet times, you can look right through them to what's really there. It's the reason I now locate near San An regardless. Can still feel an old fishing village in the air there despite all the development.

Ibiza Town is too big for me, Dalt Vila - access issues, PDB is .. well... PDB, Villas are out when you're solo, countryside can be too isolated if the weather turns and it never ceases to surprise me how long it can take to get through to Sta Eualia on that road... so where else would you want to be based for a rounded / active stay ? :)

If you haven't done it already, I cannot recommend a visit during the winter months when the tapas trail is on every Thursday highly enough. For a mere €2 you can enjoy a tapas and wine / beer in any of 50+ bars in and around San An. The whole place is alive in a way that many people will never experience.

(Apologies for thread hijack, Ibiza in winter is my new pet soap box subject!)

Failed miserably to make it over to San An for this...
