May....before opening parties

Arriving 17th may for a short break.

I know the clubs aren't open but is the sunset strip open....any life around there, any decent vibes at any bars/areas

Bar m -orange corner open?

are the beaches busy.....?

Staying at sol Bahia calo DES Moro ...are the hotels around there dead or ok? Appreciate it's early to go...but just hoping there will be one or two peeps to play pool with, drinks head out with etc? Xxx
 
There have been quite a few people on here lately planning early trips so if that's any indication there should be a few people around, although not comparable to later in the season.

i think a good idea is to find out about some of the bar opening parties, they not exactly be your cup of tea, but they are usually good fun and something different from the main club experience.

mambo opens on 19/20 May
Bora Bora 20 May
Es Paradis 20 May

that's just a few.
 
Hey grego - out of curiosity, are the bars actually closed until then or are the opening parties more of a marketing affair? (ones like Mambo, not BB)
 
no mambo isn't open until then. actually none are. savannah is the first at the month end.

rey de copas used to open weekends i think, but that's no more.

same for most other bars, km5, aura, etc.

During the time i am there 17th may for a few days, none of the sunset bars/restaurants are open atall?? :(

Is the golden buddha/kanya etc not open? :(

None of clubs - which I knew aleady - and wasnt a big problem

Are the cafes in the fountain square open?

Is the orange corner/bar m/ittaca bars area open?

West end?

c'mon Morbyd, you've been on spotlight long enough to know pacha opens daily throughout may :!:

and don't worry dawn as most places you mentioned will be open by then. itaca is already open and golden buddha opens all year.....
 
I know it opens daily earlier than the others, but I still thought it was later in the month :oops: :D
