Ok, I'm going to be a bit glass-is-half-empty for a bitbut MATINEE!!
That place was banging by 11:00!!!

I loved Matinee, had the happiest crowd of all the club nights / days imo.
A couple of years ago when over for along weekend one Friday morning, on the plane I was sat next to a girl who was in a hen party. We got chatting and she had never been to Ibiza before. She was really excited about trying a club during the weekend but the rest of the party were not into the scene. I suggested Matinee would be a brilliant introduction. To cut a long story short, on the Saturday morning the misus and I were sat in a cafe at approx 9.00am in PDB thinking "Is it too early to go over to Space yet". The hen party group walked past with towels etc. We went over to Space and the very first person we saw on entering the club was the girl I had chatted with on the plane dancing like there was no tomorrow with a huge grin from ear to ear. I told her we had seen her friends, she said they were going to the water park
I have bought Matinee CD's but it's not quite the same as being there trying to chat with the Spanish peoples with your very own dialect of Spanish in the summer sunshine
For anyone who hasn't been, you must try it, even with the later opening, you will still get the daytime feeling for a short while.
I don't think it would have affected the girls going to the water park too much had Matinee not opened until 6.00pm

I can think of a lot of places you can party at 8 A.M. on the weekends. There are also some really fantastic places to do it, mainly Miami. Half the fun of going to Space is to party in the morning. I hate to say it but your delusional if you think these regulations have no change on Ibiza. I really don't care if they take away the weekdays, but the weekends? It's ridiculous. I can't think of anywhere they ban musice till 4 in the afternoon? maybe, Iran.

of course it will change things, mainly the time you can go to a club but has Miami got the atmosphere and the whole package like Ibiza? If you really like clubbing at 8am you will have to go to Miami coz its not guna hapen in Ibiza anymore although IMO this is not a reason not to go at all....same clubs, same music just at a different time of the day - yes it's a loss but it;s happened and we can't change anything

Yes, I'm still going this year 'cause I'm so near... just in the island next to Ibiza...
Anyway, from 1999, I can't stop my days there on summer...
