No worries pauly. This mix pretty much sums up a core sound which is getting played by a few Spanish DJs in that particular niche including the likes of Henry Saiz, Marc Marzenit, etc but also Scotty A., Paul Alexander, even Hernan Cattaneo to an increasing extent. Loads in Eastern Europe too (Hungary etc.). John Digweed goes here too a fair bit especially in longer sets. Most of these guys emerged from a Progressive House background and this 'style' is getting refined.
I won't call it 'nu-Progressive' as that sends completely the wrong signal. But it is very much the newer sound put out by "Progressive" DJs who haven't swung towards techno or house - melodic tech if you like. It sure as heck isn't cheesy or dull - far more musical than minimal and with a massive following in South America, Australia, etc.
I think when people get over their prejudices in parts of Europe they will recognize the quality and appeal more widely. Or maybe not . Whichever way, it takes time !
yes,good sound...you talked about hungarian dj's,i love the sound of these guys,like Dandy,Chriss,Bourne,Cave Sedem,etc...8)
For me it's the freshiest sound in Europe now...
