Marijuana - loved or hated in Ibiza?

I'll be going Ibiza beginning of Augast, been through these forums but couldn't find anything specifically relating to weed smoking/buying in Ibiza, only grade A stuff that Im not really into. Im not sure if Im allowed to ask the following questions on this site so I'll have to gamble. . .

- Whats the attitude to weed like in Ibiza? Is it relaxed like Amsterdam, semi-relaxed like London or a total no-no like Greece, or even Dubai?

- Is it difficult or easy to get hold of?

- If you're caught smoking it out there by the Police, will you get a slap on the wrists like you would here or a prison sentence like you would in Greece/Dubai?

I think it might be going a bit too far to ask about prices or locations that are good for picking up, but any info about the rest would be much appreciated.
 
Dunno the exact rulings, i cant imagine its overly relaxed, especiallly these days.

My advice is if thats ure thing, Just give a looky looky a head massage and you may find something of interest in his afro!!! 8)

you'll be ok if you're discreet - it's a grey area of Spanish law - possession really isn't a priority for most coppers

I know for a fact that the mossos d'esquadra in Catalunya often turn a blind eye if they see, say a student having a spliff in an isolated place or on a quiet outdoor station platform

if you're driving, in a busy place or around kids that's a different story..
 
as far as im aware its not illegal to posses or smoke it, but if your caught carrying it around in your pocket while walking around you can get a fine, similar to a parking ticket
 
Dont know if anybody rememberd the programme " drugland ibiza" years ago. On that it said something like you could be found with anything under 18 tablets and it would be classed as personal use and you would get a small fine. But if caught we a small amount of weed you could get up to 2 years in jail. Sounds backwards I know I remember thinking that but thats what the documentory said. Obviously the laws mite have changed now

I imagine it's mis-information like this which has ultimately lead to the current draconian laws on the island.
 
:lol::lol::lol::lol: Djamba doesnt sell drugs, its a grow shop and all legal -and they can tell yopu about the law so no one gets on the wrong side of it.
 
Well ,u can buy it from the street...they call this Hot Stuff "Charlie"...First time when a guy ask us: "Charlie??" I thought that he knows my bf name but after a few steps I figure it out what he meant!!!:lol::p
 
I would not recommend smoking on the bigger beaches, (or public places) There are a lot of undercover (well on towels in shorts) police about,
A bar worker friend of mine on PDB last year was asked if it was safe, To which he replied NO, The guy did not listen and was in the van before he managed a second toke, €480 and 14 hrs later he was back to the beach,,,,,

edited to add, The moral of the above, If in doubt, Just ask, It could even be considered polite in some establishments (And you may be surprised at the answer)
