PreIbiza March'06 DJ Mix (My Greatest Ever!)

Been sending mixes to friends for a while so after a few listens this one is being shared here. For me I've tried to capture an air of a pre-Ibiza when the Winter Music Conference is unveiling some sounds for the summer.

Bit of everything I'm liking with quite a driving feel. Bit of light and dark and dirt with some anthem moments too! I'll be back in September 2006 - just waiting for the listings to be published!

Love to stick a classic in the mix especially if its been remixed well. Its a tricky choice as many "classics" are so catchy they also suffer from becoming tired quickly too! (e.g. Strings Of Life triggers my partner to change the radio station!)
We heard it in Pacha the other year - it was so strange, after XPress2 finished on lots of deep cuts, then out from behind the moon came Strings of Life for Dave Seamans first track... sometimes this works but it was like a school disco where the DJ plays a floor filler to wake everyone up! (it was 4am!). His sets are usually a breath of freshair but we decided after another hour to save ourselves for another night!

Bring on Renaissance 2006 - Zabiela, Digweek, Sasha, .... looking at either 31st Aug or 14 Sept... depends on We Love lineup.. can't wait!8)
