Hi there,

I am visiting Es Cana for two weeks end of july/beginning of August.

Can anyone recommend things to do in Es Cana during the day, or anywhere on the island for that matter.

Also if anyone has anything to say about my accommodation.. the Mar Y Huerta, it would be much appreciated.

Im an Ibiza virgin btw.

;)
:D

been staying in escana the last 17 years  , let me know how old you are etc... and i will suggest what someone your age could do during the day

Hiya Eivissa Lad,what`s the attraction to Es Cana that takes you back 17 years?Never been myself, just wonderin`?Ta ta :P

well im 17 you see, been there every year of my life, Pearents have a place there, so it kinda ties me there, but when we go we do travel the island, i dont just live in es cana lol

Ive been to es cana a number of times, went there last year for my 18th ... it suits nealry everyone

may i recomend the bull bar ... its like the meeting point for every teen from any hotel in Ibiza

That place used to rock, however the last to seasons its just dead, at 12 oclock, and b4 full of 12 year olds, charlies is the place now for escana

Charlies is ace man ... i always used to go to the bull bar with a few mates til 12, then we'd all end up at Charlies .... i lost my V's in the Loos of that place hahaha

Have you ever seen Bens half hour

Actually got the T-shirt mate, Ben is a top lad indeed, got up on his show a few times.
Its usually a meal, down to grannies till about 11 then off to charlies till 4 etc..., where did you stay?

OMG thats the guy lol .... i say we dethrone Charlie .. and have King Ben .... I stayed in the the hotel Carbie ... which can be seen from Charlies bar .... which is next door to a kick ass fast food place .... next door to that is where i got my paper from lol

Ive stayed in the coral playa in the past ... but Es Cana is great ... where do your folks live ... i really wanna buy one of those Coral playa apartments that over look the sea

Yeah King Ben lol 8) i hope he is there again this year!
Its one of the Private appartments between the sea, and the coral playa, so they are the ones you stare at if your looking at the sea from the coral playa hotel (hope that makes sense) cant wait to get back out there!

I think i know where you mean kinda like a peach colour.... do those apartments overlook like a mound of earth in the sea ... that kinda smells or garlic lol

I met an irish girl from those apartments in July ... very nice she was kinda like a peach colour

Just got back from Es Cana a couple of hours ago(about my 25th visit) - Coral Playa, Caribe and Bull Bar not yet open
Weather was ok - plenty of sunshine and mid 20'sC
I will be updating my Ibiza site this week with new photos of Es Cana
For the clubbers amongst you - Space is supposed to be reopening on 5th June but they will have to go some as it currently looks like a building site.

Nice one mate, hope ya had a good time, looking forward to the pics, everything else open i take it, do you eat at las arenas, and the Marbella?

Very occasionally use Es Cana beach and have in the past used the beach restaurant Mar Bella during the day but never had the pleasure of walking around to the corner and Las Arenas.
If I do eat in Es Cana it is usually a lunch or a snack while watching football so the Es Cana on the beach corner is more likely although I had two excellent cheap meals in the 2TT next to the post office/tabaccos where we were well looked after by Sergio and Antonio.
Must admit though the Royalty in Santa Eulalia does a great warm tomatoe bread with serrano ham for two with a bottle of house wine for less than 10 euros

marbella is a must during the day, and Las arenas IMO is one of the best restaurants on the island, One question mate, in october when i was out there, they were building the decking, taking up half the beach, the restaurant owners said they were gonna tell the government to remove it. Is it still there by anychance, personally it will ruin the beach!

Although I didn't use the beach this trip, I have just studied the photos I took and I cannot see any sign of decking on Es Cana beach - hope this helps - I will put a photo on this thread when I have sorted out my site.

Thanks mate, yeah the decking was being placed directly infront of the restaurant marbella, Its for wheelchair access, apparently most beaches have to have it now, i just think it ruins the beach
