Manumission - Worth it or not?

Considering it is billed as "the biggest club in the world" Privilege hardlly ever seems to get good reveiws or even much mention on the forum.

During my second time in Ibza late August im wondering whether its worth paying the the 50euro ticket price for Manu or save the money and go to DJ Sammys water party twice instead......8O:D

Given the choice of those two go to Manumission.

Sammy's water party would be distinctly average in comparison.

Privilege is spectacular when full and worth the money for the wow factor.

Monza is better though but it depends on your preference.

I just got bk and went manumission on friday... and i thought it was rly good mind u i cant remember much
we got a gd deal aswell paid 75euros and that included the tkt, coach there and 2 hours off free drinks at this bar in playa den bossa where we was stayin think it was called tantric! so by the time we got to manumission i was bit worse for wear lol

spent most the night luggin in laughin gas aswell (easily amused) :D

Yeh ive heard its one of those clubs you have to go and experience when in ibza, think i'll try and get there this year. Cheers

Perhaps I should have loaded my water party comment with a hint more sarcasm,

cant knock "the boys of summer" though !!

manu is a must ... the music/show-mixture is fantastic.
i didn´t like it some years ago, but since 2005 its one of my favourite nights.

everybody can book famous djs and put cheap decoration in a club,
but who else gives you for 50 euro a beautiful stage
with a broadway-style-show, live-violinist, acrobats, fireworks etc ...
manumission@privilege = ibiza´s studio54

... and whats going on in the morning
in the cocoloco-room you have to see/feel to believe :-)

Privilege is better this year than it was in previous in my opinion, although they still havn't figured out exactly where they need to position the funktion 1's yet. manumission is a show, less of a clubnight, but it is definatly worth checking out at least once. The cocoloco room is prity much my new favourite place in ibiza, mainly due to the goings on at about 7 - 8 in the morning during monza:) In my opinion, go to manumission and not DJ Sammy 100%.

sounds kool - care to shed any light on?

After going to 2 of the first 3 monza's, both times having to be in there before 1, as we had free wristbands. Anyway, the first 3 - 4 hours were generally quite slow and sluggish to get going, then from around 4 - 5 things get better. Head into the coco loco room, and as the sun comes through the window at whatever time it does, the vibe is amazing. It has the same carnival atmosphere you see at circo loco at any time during the day. I don't know exactly what it is about the room, but when it goes off in there it's such an amazing place to be. Experience this place I think on any night/morning and you will understand. I never before really rated privilege as a good club, but now I do.:lol:

Actually I think you have said exactly what the appeal is, it's the view of the sunrise that does it for me. Manumission is good, the show in the main room is good craic, although I didn't think it was anything spectacular this year, but the side rooms are fantastic. And The Boys of Summer is only a good track if you are talking about the original version.

Monza = 8)8O8)8O8)8O8)8O

If you go for the music, then for gods sake - DON'T. It was the worst night out during my holidays. Can't understand all the hype about it. The music was utter crap. Some pop funky house. The show was nothing too exciting. Met plenty of people who thought the same. What a waste of 50eu...

Manumission that is. Agreed - cheese fest but it is what it is.

Monza music is excellent however.

However - Manumission music in Coco Loco can be brilliant. It's often one of the most eclectic places on the island...really unpredictable and all over the place.

Yes, but I'd spend your time in either of the side rooms - Coco Loco or La Chat Agille as they're calling the other one this year. More room to dance, better music and fewer beer-boys.

I'd agree about Monza although I was fairly gutted that Isolee cancelled last week.

They had Sleazyville in the Cocoloco room during Manumission. Played some slow minimal by the time I was there. Cocoloco was way more bangin during Meganite, few days before that. But still, pay 50eu just for Cocoloco  Ripp off...

Just got back last night

Went to Manumission on Friday just gone, albeit very worse for wear had a great time.

It was not to me really for the music, but something i would never see again or witness anywere else, Great to see it full and a lots to do, Worth it once i would say. i would not go again but something i feel everyone should try and see
