Manumission - the last word..

Halloooo.

so. been hearing lots of bad vibes about Manumission. now, of course i'm hankering to go when we get there as i've never been. but, i don't want to go do something just to say 'i did it', when it could be crap to mediocre.

pity they seem to have gone down hill before i got a chance to enjoy their ground breaking clubbing.

anyway, if anyone's been (i'm predominately a house/funky/jazzy-house kind of girl) and has an opinion on it...i would be delighted. time spent in ibiza is just too precious to waste (and friggin' expensivo) on mediocrity.

to sum it up for me about Manumission "i did it"
its a realy cool palce to look around and stuff
but it's not for clubbing too much people too less air.
the sound gets lost in the space etc.
 
We went to the 10th birthday party of Manumission and found it to be a bit of a let down. For a start 50 Euro´s for a ticket wasn´t cheap and for 2 beers inside the club it cost nearly 20 Euro´s (and you don´t even get a choice of bottled beer it was Becks or nout). However, it is still a pretty amazing club inside and worth seeing but be prepared to be very hot and squashed...

iTS DEFINATELY WORTH TO GO THERE IF ITS THE FIRST OR SECOND TIME.
Ive been going for 5 years in a row now, and it used to be my fav´place on the entire island - now I must rank Amnesia for my #1!

Try it out and judge 4 yourself! its the only way youll find out - taking advice from peeps can be tricky - see I would tell you (as the ONLY person here) that Space sucks but thats becuz Im not into either house of funky pills lol*

So: go, have a blast and expect to get surprised, the show is fun when you see it - nothing more, nothing less, the back rooms are defo the best places imo! barprices can be expensive but not the worst on the island.

Absolutely, Manumission is good for 1 or 2 times, as an attraction, but if you compare it with Sanchez playing in Pacha at the same time, i know where i go...
 
The reason people say its shit is cause to many people go to look round! standing waiting for things to happen instead of dancing or enjoying themselfs. people who stand round spoil the atmospher. if you go and treat it like any other club i think its great. ive had some great nights in there tune wise, dont go and stand there waiting for something to happen though, go and have a good time.

great guys, that doesn't clear anything up about whether it's bad/good, but it definitely lets me know how other people feel about it.

i suppose any club that's brought ibiza's clubbing scene into the spotlight (arguably) is bound to have people waiting around to see how they're gonna be entertained, which always leads to disappointment.

however, i know any place is what you and the people you're with make it. but a club where you can't dance because you're always in the way of people passing by is (in my opinion) just annoying. double that if it's expensive. and there's not a whole lot you can do about that once you're in there.

not to say i won't go, but i agree, pacha definitely seems more attractive really anyway on that night...

It cost me 45euros to get in and another 30 for two red bull and vodkas, all of which was quite painfull. By no means was it my best night but it was a 'i have been to that' sort of instinct that drove me there, if you aren't that sort of person then i wouldn't bother.
 
I always go once a year these days but used to go every week 10 years ago. If you're only in ibiza for 1 week, moneys tight etc you could give it a miss with so many quality nights on in ibiza.

I haven't been this year yet but i will be going to the closing party on 20/9 so hoping to have a good time then. + it helps if you get VIP passes and don't have to spend almost 100 euros for me and the mrs to get in ;)
