Last year we went to Privlage for Meganight, and after meeting at a bar in San An not sur eof the neame we headed to Playa Den Bossa to a free bar untill the busses arrived!

Is it the same for Manumission heading from Bar M

Fraid not. Get a bottle of Absinysth between you and it wont cost you that much. Good luck.

it was 100€ + for Vodka, depending on the type in Mambo this year - so imagine its around the same cost in a club (possibly more :?:?)

That is a joke, would be a quarter of that in the shop (yes I know, its bound to be more expensive).

Then again, I am moaning but wont stop me paying the prices!

i'm not sure of the question.:?

you want to know the name of a bar that gives away free drinks in PDB:? not heard of this one before!

bar M isn't free if that's what your asking.

I actually thought drinks prices were down - the other prices were up however.....unless you have negotiation skills......:lol:

Have to contradict that, I thought drink prices were even more scandalous than usual this year - €20 for a round of two drinks in Space, €18 in DC10 (which used to be relatively cheap), Bar M and Tahiti charging just as much as the clubs. I don't object to paying the big ticket prices because the DJs you are seeing and the standard of the clubs are worth it, but the prices of drinks, especially water, REALLY piss me off.

Sorry maye have got a bit confused with my thread.

what i meant was, last year when we went to Meganite we got taken to a bar in PDB and it was a free bar not always, part of the deal i believe for that night (i say free bar, it was sangria, beer or Sex on the beach ) and i wondered if this was normal for all privlage events including Manumission

Apparently not, just have to kneck more drinks before hand.... What a shame eh

hmm weird I wasnt paying more than 14-15€ for 2 spirits with mixers in the sunset bars, Bar M, Itaca, Orange Corner etc......Pacha hadnt changed its bar prices in 2 years either as far as remember, maybe it depends on who serves you in each establishement :? We did score on some rounds too as the barstaff couldnt add up and when they brought us the bill they had clearly missed off a round of drinks for 5 on one occasion..... result!!

Those bar first tickets are a skank mate. They're usually for nights that are selling discounted entry only tickets and they're near enough charging the full advertised price plus some on top for the drinks.

How much did you pay for your Meganite deal and at what point in the season?

I haven't been for 3 years and I didn't see much of an increase in drinks prices this year tbh. Manumission set us back €15 for a vodka redbull and €10 for a redbull alone. From what I can remember, that's no more expensive than when we went to Meganite last time.

Don't get me started on the drinks prices.....

I guess the Euro has pushed prices up quite a bit but there is really no need to charge the the prices most of the big clubs do but they do and boy do they make their money! However it's your holiday so what the hell eh?

In my opinion even if I was loaded I would not pay 100E + for a bottle of spirits anywhere - sorry but you are a mug if you do and in this case the it's holiday what the hell doesn't count. You are being ripped off!

Even if I was a millionaire I would still be looking out for a bargain as I am tight as a gnats arse!:D

being tight for a lady is a good thing. :) I agree I would not pay that much for a bottle a total rip off, but the clubs charge what the market will bear. I still remember peseta prices.:cry:

500pts (4quid) for a warm bottle of carlsberg at Manumission in 97.

Club I was working at at the time was charging 2.75 for a bottle beer

:p

Very beggining of July, possibly last week in June

I believe it was 45 or 50 Euro's

Either way im gunna pay for the drinks, i have worked all year and saved for this week in Ibiza the holiday itself makes up for the prices

3 days to go :D

Ah, that explains it - Meganite is one of the cheaper nights on the island and it's 20 Euros (well, it was in Itaca, seemed to be 25 everywhere else).

I can remember the peseta prices too - if only things were still as reasonable. But the Euro has a big part to play in the price of things IMO. Still as you say if people are willing to pay the prices then the clubs etc will still charge.
