Anyone been the manumission carry on in Space?

Is it big name Dj's or just the residents?

Im planning on going for this Tuesday morning

I love the Manumission Carry On, my second fave Space sesh after We Love Sundays :D

You always get the ressies, Alfredo normally plays and tears the terrace apart, Smokin' Jo will prob be down there. It depends who's been playing @ Manumission the night before, I've seen Danny Rampling and Fatboy behind the decks there :D

It's a much better atmosphere than Manumission at Privilege.
 
I went to Manumission on Monday and lasted 1 hr. Couldn't believe how bad it was. P1ssed up kids, Reebok trainers with adidas socks pulled right up Tim Henman style were everywhere. Check shirts were also very common. I will never go again, ever. Also, the place is just too big to make the sound system any good. The music is so distorted because you hear it and then it echo's. Not sticking my nose in the air, just wish I'd listened to advice I got on here that it wouldn't be for me. Rant over
Carry on cheered me up no end though, so much better atmosphere and clientele.
Im back out the end of the month I hope so I won't be making the Manu mistake again.

Just saying it how I saw it. Maybe I didn't give it a chance but I wasn't enjoying it so I left. There were gangs of girls in school uniforms for Gods sake.
 
there are several Ibiza virgin's in our group this year, so even though my attitude with manumission is "been there done that" we'll have to take the rest to experience it.....
 
to be fair you didnt really give it a chance if you only went for 1 hour. i always think manumission gets better later on. yeah at the begining of the night there are "kids" and shermans in there, but i have been a "kid" in there myself so i wont slate that ;) after a few hours the kids die of as they cant handle it and i think it gets allot better.

Best thing about manumission though is right near the end when its died down allot and there is loads of space to dance and the sun starts coming through the window and you feel all loved up and happy and you start to plan going to the carryon with complete randoms!! Or is that just me????

Hook , what time did you go ? as mentioned it usually gets a lot better later on .
 
I know for a fact I didn't give it a chance. But after queing for ages to get in, then not being able to move, we just stood for an hour saying to each other "this is s**t". I regret it now, but at the time it was just one thing after another which was p1ssing me off. At one point a group of people started doing the can can and I just thought, that's it I'm off.

I got there about 2.30. And yea Gaz, what your saying does sound spot on, later on when everyone's gone and the real clubbers are left sounds totally my thing, but I was off the back of my heaviest weekend for a year, feeling tired, and then I'm getting shoved about by Mr Rockport and the family Timberland.
It just got to me so I did one. Gutted now for not making the most of it, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

lol Quality.... when i went with all my mates some of them only stayed an hour or so the rest of us got home tea time the next day!!!!
 
I was at the opening last week and must admit the security was awful queing up people were just swinging through the trees trying to get in. Yes the main room was poor but the funky room was quality and lasted til past 8. Went to the carry on and that too was quality but couldn't tell you who was on as i couldn't see at that point!!

I had a similar time when I went a few years back, minus carry on as ot wasn't on then to my knowledge
 
I went and had a mate who almost suceeded in dragging our whole group down to the level of boring bastard sorrow that he was in... he didn't enjoy it because it wasn't hard enough for him... so he left after an hour too, complaining then of similar stuff.

Ibiza in general this year seems to be a little different, more younger people than i expected (or then am i getting old!?)

Manumission was excellent.. but not as much of a spectacle as i expected.. last years was quality.. with the whole story thing going on...

unless i missed it.. i don't think anything like that happened this year.

i enjoyed myself and i think was one of very few to end up on the bus for space (of which i nearly got squashed to death... i was behind the chair in the moving compartment.. and it rotated a little too far!) who was party smarty free...

quality time and the after party was awesome in space too.. although i was sad too see that two beer boy's in burberry made it through the doors... and were shockingly able to dance.. well more flail there arms around in some manor that vaguely coinsided with the music..

whilst i had to stop every ten mins as my legs had decided that they were firmly going to stay put on the ground.
 
Damnit.. i was wandering about the place quite alot of te time.. and i still think i missed some of the bloody place :S

although this year i found the restaurant area (finally!!) :)
