i always pictured it being a boardwalk kind of affair, running across the rocks, with the rocks left intact beside the sea...

time till tell!

I would be so sure about that...its reported that the promenade will be around 6 metres in width with lighting, I think it will be similar to the promenade that runs around the bay:cry:
 
If this really does happen it will be a great shame.

How to ruin one of the best places (in my opinion) to go on the island in one easy step!
 
from what i can gather its going to start from the wasteland at the side of mambo and run right round to cala gracio its good news for me ive got an apartment next to the sol bahia,that stretch of land between the little beach infront of kanya and cala gracio is hard to walk around i reckon its a definate plus from there on!
 
No, it's also going to run from the Marina round to Mambo, Ibelieve that's the first phase to begin soon, then the second phase is as you describe.
