Making a different mix

that's a hard one m8...........

i think the bottom line is it's gotta be music that you love!!!...

..how about adding pictures/videos to your mixes so they can be played on the new pioneer cd/dvd players!!.......had a play with one in selfridges the other day!!!...... they had the prydz-call on me video.......have you ever 'looped' thoses aerobics honeys ;) ;)

i suppose every1 is trying to do something original......but remember if it comes from u....it IS original....

what ur ideas???

I honestly don't know what I'd do, house is just too easy to do, think it might be techno, with a little rock and 80's and perhaps some breaks thrown in

If you was going to do a mix which wasn't normal 2004 type house music, what would you do?

Check out Danny Howells' Essential Mix from 2002 for something 'different'

yeah.. deep, dark n dirty...

get some funky with a breakbeat influence then slide into breakbeat. I.e. pick crossover tunes so you can flow between the genres. That way you get to listen to all yer faves...

I like starting with some wierd pella and then taking it in the same direction as the style of lyrics.... Ok sounds wierd i know!!

At the moment i like starting with a pella that goes

"new york is the shit, mannn... new york is the bomb....its like.. its the best place in the world anything you want is right here..."

Then i kick off with something deep and jazzy like;

Hajime Yoshizawa - Endless Bow (Fauna Flash Remix)

From there i'll prob take it a bit more soulful taking it a bit more up tempo afterwards or i'll just find the wierdest blippy, deep house tracks and take things real dark! 8)

Funky, dirty, filthy

They're just buzz words, they don't mean sh*t.

but i like funky house ;) ;)

i like funky house too... but in a year ir two i think it will be all techno .. or dnb. Or both.

House is sorta boring in the long run. Especially funky house.
