'Madchester' Top 10

God that takes me back. Classics! Apart from Kelly's Heroes, decent track but I wouldn't have put Black Grape in there, they were too late for Madchester imho.

how ironic that an article on madchester is featured on a website called "thisislondon" :D and black grape were cool, but yeah, they were more around the time of , ughh, (shudders) britpop. What the hell was britpop anyway? anything made in Britain between 1995 and 1996? I hate genre's. I went to see them locally, and although it was a good night, the effects of the drugs on shaun ryder were pretty clear to see, he had an autocue for the words, but even then he clearly didnt understand half of what he was saying. it was just garbled nonsense. got a feel of a nice girls booby though :)

Haven't checked the link yet, but I'm guessing this is pre-publicity for the Happy Mondays gig on Clapham Common, So... there's the London link?

The survey was done by Rip and Burn mag and was quoted in most of the national papers yesterday including the Evening Standard (the online version of which is www.thisislondon.co.uk).
