this year was me, the missus, my mate Alan and his girlfriend (an Ibizan virgin)
Had another lovely time in Ibiza and it was great to introduce another person to the delights of the island
Cannot be bothered going into mega details but the short review
Bars
Cafe Mambo - very quiet, the usual slight attitude problem and not up to previous visits
Reunion Bar - good laugh with the "owner", complete nutter with a massive character
Match bar - lacking the atmosphere of K-ube
Cafe del Mar - excellent service
Meals
Nandos - love this place
Itaca - poor, slops in small portions
Bay Bar - nice place to grab a bite
Orange Corner - some good luches here
Banyan Palace - stunning once again, expensive but very worth it - our must do every year
La Oliva - cracking eaterie in the windy Dalt Vila streets. Superb service and sublime food. Again expensive but well worth the price. My medium steak was almost crimson, so tender and nice.
Pinocho - the best pizzas in ibiza IMO
Clubs
Pure Pacha - Rammed to the rafters but we found a wee dance space up looking over the lighting & dj boots and boogied all night - Angel Linde was good, Sander Kleinenberg was amazing - by 5:30 Pete Tong had played James Blunt and that was out queue to leave!
We Love...Space - Tooooo rammed. Dropped in to show the girls the afternoon session and had great fun with Oscar Colorado & Jonathon Ulysses on the Sunset Terrace, real party music. Had a little chill time in the Premier Etage.
Back at night we caught the very end of the Sunset Terrace closing and tried to go to the terraza - no entry...too full!!!! So, discoteca it was...more dancing room there and we got down to the dj (either Davids Phillips or Caretta) - highlight track Mismoplastico!!!!
Took a detour to El Salon which is a nice wee addition to the whole club and sneak into the terraza the back way....Groove Armada Now, GA were fun, but the set could have been the same one from the closing 2 years ago.....the teasing Born Slippy, Superstylin etc etc.
David Guetta might be pure cheese but it was good party music and he got the place going. 2 Many DJs were absolutely rocking it from the opening bars of YMCA to the Gossip and beyond. We left just after 5am knackered but the only complaint was that the place was just tooooo busy. Space still rules the roost tho
Other
Salinas - cloudy but such a beautiful beach
Night walk up to the top of Dalt Vila - tiring but well worth it for the view over the port
