Mind you, there will be lots of drunk Spanish students kicking around, so it might have its up-sides, if you know what I mean :p

Its really cheap... so I think we will check it out... worth the look.

STILL CANT FIND TICKETS THOUGH... :(

The website is www.lovinibizafestival.com and you can buy tickets on there apparently prices start at 12 euros for entry to the festival itself with 1x drink (cheaper for residents with valid n.i.e.) slightly more with entrance to space and pacha afterwards.

It also says that they are available from certain outlets on the island including any branch of la sirena, (various branches on the island) the bar grial (now called santo grial I think) the Ibiza global radio offices (all in Ibiza town) and the travel agent viajes marazul in san an (among other places)

not sure what the event will be like (very Spanish orientated certainly, though I don't mean this in a negative way)or whether its above board or not so you pays your money, you takes your chance.

not a huge outlay if it turns out to be bobbins (or doesn't happen) I suppose.

I'm on the island that week. Would be interesting to take a drive to pdb to have a looksie though not sure about attending.

update - just noticed you'd tried the website. Link seems to be working now (though I didn't go as far as buying a ticket you are directed to a site where you seem to be able to.

to be held between 28 and 29 April

Platja d'en Bossa Ibiza to host between 28 and 29 April, the first festival of electronic music
Lovin 'Ibiza, which was created with the intention to continue in the coming years
and become a reference and a showcase for DJs around the world,

in the presentation.
The first edition will include the participation of fifty artists and is divided into three parts.
The first will take place on the beach, starting at 14 am on Saturday until midnight.
The party will go on until dawn Pasha and Sunday closing will take place in Space.

Councilman Tourism Sant Josep, Vincent Torres, said that the City had no hesitation
in supporting this event: "We can not afford to lose the lead in the dance music that is Ibiza.
We are a world leader in electronic music and Sant Josep clubs never cease to win
international awards, "said Torres, who claimed to represent"
the beginning of the season for Sant Josep. "

The organization says they have already confirmed their attendance of 1,500 people
off the island, which will come on package tours especially from different parts
of the peninsula and abroad.

For next year the festival is studied extend one more day to accommodate live performances
and goal, organizers say, is that it will last a week in the future.

Councilman Tourism Sant Josep, Vincent Torres, said the festival will represent the start
of the season and will be an "element of seasonality to benefit the tourism sector."

..... or because they don't have license from the coastal authorities?!

el portavoz de la oposición criticó que el equipo de gobierno no sepa todavía si el Lovin'Ibiza Festival que se celebrará en Platja d'en Bossa a final de abril tiene permiso de Costas.

UH

(oh, and that's not a proper festival..... just a spring break-thing for students from mainland)

yes they had started to build a stage right in front of ushuaïa...pity it's not happening there now!
