Looking for an old 4X4

I might be after an old four wheel drive off road type thingie. I wanted to spend between 1cent - 3000 euros but I´m having trouble trying to work out where the dealers are that sell older motors. The only dealers I´ve been to so far had much newer stuff that I don´t need right now.
Somebody tried to sell me a Twingo (yeah I´d never heard of them either) the other day for 1500 euros. I can honestly say that it was not worth more then 50 euros.

Have a drive round the unoffical car lot`s eg roundabouts, the top of Santa Eulalia bus station car park, top end of Santa Gertrudis and many other places, you will see the Se Vende cardboard signs in the windows, If you like something , phone the number, they come out, If you want to buy it, arrange to meet them at your choice of official ( can`t remember the correct name ) I used Gamiserv in Santa Eu , To change the papers, Do not hand any money over untill all the papers have been checked by Gamiserv etc !!!!! I would not recomend buying anything however cheep ( and it should be) without papers,
Or also The Diaro has a fair few every day,
Have a good one

Thanks Tim.

Unidad are crap I wouldn't bother with them. If you want to get in touch with Gamaservi who are at least useful their web address is http://www.gamaservi.com/gamaservi.html

You will be hard pressed to get a good deal on a car in Ibiza. It is a small island with few cars and everybody is greedy. I always buy my cars from LHD dealers in the UK and get them registered in Ibiza. Even with the criminal taxes that you have to pay (some of them illegal anywhere else in Europe), it is cheaper than buying a second hand car here. The other good option for a 4X4 is Germany where most of the LHD cars in the UK are imported from.

I do actually have a mate who has a 4.0 litre Cherokee for sale, it is LHD but British registered and I don't think that he wants much for it. If you PM me your email address I'll put the two of you together. He's on holiday at the moment but will be back in Ibiza some time in March.
