I want to book a long weekend or even afew days midweek in Ibiza flying from scotland. Whats the nbest wak to go about it? Do it myself or are there any special operators?

Best of luck mate

The flights to Ibiza are extortionate from Scotland.

Can get cheap ones thru Easyjet connecting thru Stansted but thats half a day travelling each way (to allow for delays etc)

We looked at booking our weeks holiday by doing the flight & hotel thing ourselves but was ending up too expensive and travelling time was a nightmare.

Good luck tho'

I was thinking about a long weekend or mid week break at the end of June but due to lack of funds it aint gonna happen. I will need to wait until September :(

I think you will find it difficult to get flights from Edinburgh or even Glasgow.

If you are willing to travel to Manchester you can get dirt cheap flights on BMI Baby and you can choose the dates etc. When I worked it out I could fly return for £35 and stay at Sol Bahia for 4 nights and the whole trip was under £300 for 2  :P

Good luck :!: ;)

I usually fly from glasgow but yes I can travel to london, manchester etc. just wondered if its cheaper doing it yourself or through an operator?

If you do fly from London or Manchester then I would recommend you do it yourself and book you accommodation through this site.

Operators will usually only sell you week blocks out to Ibiza because flights are so scarce, if you want an odd duration you are probably better to go independantly. don't think you will find it much cheaper than going for a week from Scotland though!!

its also normaly only a wee bit dearer to stay for two weeks instead of one

Living in Scotland is a pain as far as cheap flights are concerned. EasyJet only lets you book point to point flights so you've got to book separately for flights to Gatwick or Stansted before you book for Ibiza. And if the first flight's delayed...

In addition lots of the flights seem to leave at around 6am so you've got to get down the night before. Don't make my mistake and think that you can book your flights then get a cheap hotel near Stansted. They don't exist.

You'll just have to leave Scotland and move to Ibiza like me :D
