Too much time on my hands after my fantastic night out....:roll:

Am I just being a moaning old bint BUT what the hell is going on with taxi prices in London!8O

My three minute taxi ride from Terminal 1 to the Park Inn hotel cost me bloody 14 GBP!!!!8O 8O 8O

What the mother of funk is that all about!!!!8O :lol: :lol:

Please inform the country bumpkin! I could have gone about 20km for that in Marbella!!!:lol:
 
Was it a black cab or a special airport taxi cos they charge thru the roof :roll: We once got an airport taxi from Gatwick without prebooking and it was £90, our local taxi firm if you pre-book charges £45 :roll:

It was a black cab.....:roll: ......think I´ll slum it and get the 3.00 GBP "airport shuttle bus" on my return!!!:lol: :lol:
 
London taxis are insane. Once I paid 95 GBP to go to Gatwick from Fulham in a black cab 8O . It's 42 GBP for a black cab between Heathrow and Fulham which is still highway robbery but I did find one mini-cab firm that charges 26 GBP.
 
London's a funny place - whilst most taxis are ridiculous occasionally you do find a firm that charges practically nothing. I've caught a taxi from Ladbroke Grove to Kings Cross before for £7 which was ridiculously cheap. The fact that the taxi driver didn't know where kings cross was was a bit of a problem though :lol:
