A LIVERPOOL man was in hospital today after being stabbed on the party island of Ibiza.
The 29-year-old was knifed in the stomach and thigh in the centre of bar and club capital San Antonio during a night out on Friday.
The victim was carried to a nearby first aid post by two passers-by.
He underwent emergency surgery after being rushed to the island's main Can Misses hospital.
His condition was described as very serious and he was kept in intensive care.
But on Saturday doctors took him off a respiratory machine as his breathing returned to normal.
Yesterday he was said to be conscious and improving
The paramilitary Civil Guard, which is investigating the stabbing, said nothing was being ruled-out.
Ibiza has hit the headlines this summer as a number of young died in the holiday hotspot through drowning, falling from a balcony and drug taking.
