Interesting... the Balearics and Catalonia are seeing fewer jellyfish
But the Costa Blanca has had waves of attacks by small translucent buggers
And the northern coast is seeing an invasion of Portuguese Man-o-Wars!

Be wary of jellyfish in the small bay at Portinatx. My 7 year old grand son was sitting at the water's edge on 30.08.10 and was stung on his stomach. A week later and he has now got an infection in the 7" wound. A very traumatising incident for a child and for his family as he thought he was going to die. No warnings were given of jellyfish in the sea at either beach.
