there was a samll article in last week's ddi saying that san antonio police had closed two bars for noise law violations - one in town and another in san rafael. could it be one of these?

L'Elephant didnt have any music, or if it did have, it wasnt very loud at all

which also didnt have the opening license!!



last year el ayoun were trying to get the license to have music but as they didnt have the opening license it was denied:

Examinada la instancia presentada por D. Charles Delfortrie, en representación de la entidad EL AYOUN, SCP., solicitando autorización para el presente año de 2006, para la realización de amenización musical por ejecución mecánica en el establecimiento de restaurante denominado “El Ayoun”, ubicado en la Avda. Isidoro Macabich de Sant Rafel.
Atendiendo que el establecimiento en cuestión carece de la correspondiente licencia municipal de apertura y funcionamiento, requisito imprescindible para acceder a lo solicitado, por unanimidad se acuerda: DENEGAR la autorización solicitada por la entidad EL AYOUN SCP.

Bars Closed

The Town Hall of San Antonio announced on Saturday the temporary closure of

a restaurant in San Rafael,
a bar in the West End
and another in the Cala des Moro area

for not having the appropriate operating licences.

The restaurant in San Rafael had received many complaints from neighbours,
as it was also being run as a bar.

The Councillor in charge of this area, Josefa Costa said that they would continue to clamp down on those establishments that did not have all their papers in order and that were causing problems for neighbours.
