If it's CDJs you're looking at look no further than Pioneer. I started on 100s and it was the perfect start point. Exceptional build quality across all models, gets you used to a make that is standard club issue and can be picked up second hand for less than 250 quid.
In my experience, anyone with any designs on getting good should start on more basic equipment. Starting on 100s may seem painfully difficult at first but it hones the skills that ultimately make your sets super tight on better models later on.
My advice is don't run before you can walk. Play it basic and simple until everything becomes more natural.
