I went to Space last year and the year before that and the lay out was different both times. So I was wondering if someone could inform me as to what part of Space is the:
terrace
sunset terrace
red box and the
premier etage?

Sunset terrace is where you go in on the left (this was new last year).
Terrace is where you go in on the right (used to be the old terrace, now has been roofed and isn't really a terrace at all).
Red Box is upstairs from Discotheque.
Premier Etage is the roof terrace.

Yep the old terrace was very special (RIP poor little old terrace ).........but:

1. the sound on the old terrace was shocking the last couple of years as sound restrictions got harsher around that area
2. the old terrace used to close at midnight, now the sunset terrace still closes at midnight and you've still got another 6 hours on the new terrace so everyone's a winner

and does anyone have a clue how they managed to get around the sound restrictions to build that? You can hear it fairly clearly outside space

The sound was fine on the sunset terrace, whereas there was times on the old terrace when you could hear yourself talk above the music.

That's almost like saying there's no such thing as al qaeda (ok maybe not quite)...surely where there's people with LOADS of money on an island with dance floor politics on a scale of las vegas there will be back handers...it's still a group of people with a lot of money and non governmental power.

(btw - is it true that Pacha paid Penelope to close this year? Or am I listening to too much clubland tabloid tripe?)

the sunset terrace is streets ahead of the old terrace in terms of sound quality. altho from memory the old terrace was sounding pretty good in 2004, when they'd put a massive new rig in to go with the new roof, but then the roof wasn't completed in time....oops!

like babs said, historically the sound was hit and miss at best.........sometimes barely audible from certain parts of the terrace.

I loved the old (newly covered) terrace when it had a decent system. Hearing Simon's - Free at Last sweeps whilst getting ready to enter the club, shivers down the spine!
