Last week of september..

Alright lads and lasses?

Off to Ibiza for the first time in the last week of september. Just have a couple of questions. Sorry in advance as I'm sure these will all have been asked before, but things change, can't hurt to ask again I suppose. :p

First of all, I've had a look at the calendar, and I'm content we'll be able to do a couple of good clubbing nights, so that's cushty, but what about the rest of the West End, and Cafe Del Mar & Mambo? Are they still open?

Secondly, the weather, whats the craic at that time of year? Still tan strength & beach type sun? 8)

Lastly, whats it like people-wise at that time of year? I expect it to be quieter, but is it still lively enough?

my favourite week to go

noticeably quieter than any of the other months but better clubbing to be had (imho), and its not chockablock with lairy types (but still lively enough)

weather can be great, or can be shoddy, luck of the draw

as for the weather

we went last week of sept 2 years ago
arrived to light rain - that turned into a reasonable storm
rest of the week was dry, hot but not too hot

higher chance of thunderstorms but it should be nice
and not sticky hot like july/august

I meant to ask aswell, I'm planning on taking a grand for the week spending-wise. Should be enough, aye?
 
15 of us are sharing a villa that week
did exactly the same last year.

best time of the year.
sun is fine.
no idiots.
room to dance.
clubs are full of workers and locals seeing out the clubbing year with a bang.

the subliminal closing party is top notch.
 
p.s. I spent just under £900 in a week last year and we had no expense spared meals at both km5 and l'elephant

We are heading there 23-26th specifically for the reasons as above.

oh and the parties....ohhh yummy...Feix Da H'cat @ Space on the Sunday followed by Cocoon closing party on the Monday. Sweet alabama I go weak at the knees just thinking about it...:):)
 
Weather wise ive always been lucky at that time, never had much of a problem. Im also going for the last week of september this year, cant wait 8)

While I'm at it, I'm very open when it comes to music, so it probably wont matter, but, what's Cocoon like music wise? What kind of stuff is played? Same with Monza actually, tried doing some searching myself but I couldn't find much.
 
I'm there last week in Sept / First week in October.

Last 2 years I've gone mid-september (16th) for a week. First year we had 4 days of bright sunshine, 1 days of cloud and light rain, and 2 days of torrential rain which caused the streets of PDB to flood.

Last year it was bright sunshine all the way.

Looking forward to Subliminal and WLS closing parties!

less accesible than say "hed kandi" or "defected" par example...

more underground, minimal/tech-house/techno (= waaaaaaaaay better than all that other fluffy ****e imho)

i totally agree,clubbing is much better in september and the weather is much nicer! Im gonna be in Ibiza from 17th-oct 3rd ,im all booked,just playin the waiting game,im from canada btw,if u guys are up for a drink or some partyin let me know...heres my party schedule..if anyones going to same partys let me know,im goin solo also,and i booked a hotel that has 2 beds...lookin for someone to share the hotel also,its in san antonio,22euro/night

I'll be in Ibiza from the 17th - 24th, also travelling solo after my friend backed out. I've not yet secured a hotel, where in san an will you be staying?

I am planning on going to dc10,cocoon, la troya, either monza or manumission closing, matinee and what's up at cova santa- also considering m&2 sugars, one pacha night....Bora Bora, sunset strip a definite, as well as a few good meals. I will be renting a car for a few days to explore, so I will need a few nights off in order to accomplish that;)

staying at a hotel called hotel ferrier,i stayed there last year,its nice and like 5min walk to west end ,soo cheap cause i booked it for this year while there last year..total its 22euro/night and has 2 beds.,your more then welcome to share it,iv got it all paid for already.i meant to add that to my schedule also,the 22nd i'll me going to matinee in the morning too,thats if theres no manumission afterparty and every other day during the week in the morning i'll be at the afterpartys and/or space's morning partys(friend working at space)..on that schedule iv got all my pass's bought already accept armada and foam party,they won't be on sale till the week before,VIP pass;s to cream and to the 3 pacha nights and VIP at the we love space closing(my birthday) only thing left is finding time to sleep! i also thought about renting a car,exploring for a day or 2,id go 1/2 on the car rental if u wanted

Wow you are organised! I actually checked out the Ferrer, since I was originally planning on going earlier in the season and it was reasonable/cheap even during the peak season. I appreciate the offer, and am tempted- but I stayed in San An last year (actually, the Bay- I loved it) and this year I was thinking of trying a hotel in Ibiza/Figueretas, but who knows...PM me if you are serious about the car, it would be fun to have a co-pilot - The money isn't that big a deal as I was planning on renting it anyway.

you share the same birthday with me!! im goin with lukey D and we're stopping in central city hotel in san antonio. Can't wait

Isnt the manumission closing on the 22nd?
 
im also going for the closing parties that week. me and the mrs are flying out on 22nd - 29th, am planning on going to hed kandi closing at el divino (gonna have dinner at their restaurant that night & u get free entry into the club after), we love at space, defected closing at pacha, subliminal closing at pacha, and pure pacha closing. i absolutely love pacha so 3 times we are going.

with reference to the first post, cafe mambo and all the other sunset bars will still be open. ive been at the end of september 3 times before and its a nice time of year to go, august can sometimes be a pain as its just too busy, and the clubs put their prices up a few euros cos they know its busy.

we shud all meet up for a good drink, have a good time
