las dalias has announced that the art fair noche del arte returns, like last summer on fridays from 7pm to 1am with free entry. these are the dates:
· may 13th (artist of the month: wolfgang ratkowski)
· june 17th
· july 15th
· august 5th
· august 26th
· september 16th
· october 7th

the guys of namaste, apart from their parties at las dalias, will be also every wednesday in the hippy market of punta arabí (es canar) adding some music along with the australian trio wild marmalade (which some of you maybe have seen at sunseabar or guaraná in the past). these additions are not the only news regarding punta arabí because they also announced that from now they will have better quality stuff and get rid of some of the crap they were selling before. las dalias on saturdays will always be cooler though!! :P

3rd ibiza motor festival at las dalias on june 11th (from 2pm till late) with the local bands dark elf and hetzmek (a band that includes ex-members of the disappeared santa eulalia satan-worshipping band belcebur toys, were a well known guy from the staff of pacha used to play the bass :twisted: )..........

the day before there will be various events around the island for the bikers, including bora bora for lunch, the rock bar la cabaña at night, etc :!:

next thursdays is the opening of their garden (from 8.30pm) with paco fernandez, cathy battistessa..........

surprise surprise: from now and till late september they will have hippy market also on mondays fom 6pm till 1am with less tables but featuring some of the people from saturdays and also new one, along with live music and performances!! :D

namaste returns on wednesdays for their 6th season with their usual exotic chillout garden, live performances, trance temple, vegetarian bazaar, etc!! :P

tonight javier vargas (accompanied by local musicians) will be presenting the new album of the vargas blues band (love, union, peace) at las dalias. in this album the spanish bluesman collaborated with jack bruce (cream), glenn hughes (ex-deep purple), devon allman (son of gregg from the allman brothers band), reese wynans (stevie ray vaughan), etc. last time he played in ibiza, apart from a surprise concert also at las dalias last monday, was last august at the jimi hendrix tribute concert..........

on a curious note, our friends at the local english language newspaper did another of their classic mistakes saying that the concert happened last week and even wrote If the performance in Las Dalias is anything to go by, the CD will be a hit. The crowd enthused over the 12 new songs as they were played live for the first time & showed what a great band the Vargas Blues Band are.......... oops, i dont think sooooo!! :lol: :spank: :lol:

this thursday (from 9pm) they celebrate the 51st anniversary with a concert of paco fernandez (accompanied by cathy battistessa among other guests), plus chillout music in the garden, trance inside and performances by party planet and action painting!! :D

Guys - can anyone shed any light on whether Tribe of Frog have anything planned in Ibiza early Sept please? Got a friend who is planning on being there first week and wants to go..... muchos gracias amigo's x
 
yes, they are doing their parties every sunday till the end of the summer!! :idea:



btw, the special guest this week at namaste is nina hagen. not the first time that she appears there..........

Last Tribe of Frog party is 2nd October I believe.
