La Troya - Gay v Straight Ratio?

I don't supose anyone has ever gone round with a clipboard and checked this out :roll: but what do you reckon for the ratio of gay v straight clientelle to attend La Troya?

The night fits in with my plans this June and as a former unwitting gay icon of Canal Street in Manchester (much to the jealousy of my wife who used to grab on to me for dear life whenever we went out there !!) I was wondering if the night was exclusively gay or a bit of a mix ?
 
When I went last year I'd say La Troya on the terrace was about 70% gay and the main room (espuma) was 90% straight. And no I didn't go around with a clipboard ;) :lol:

Was my 2nd favourite night after We Love Sundays last year
 
I dont really know how you could be that sure, my gaydar isn't that accurate!

If you and your wife want to go then you should, you won't feel or be out of place! And you might get lucky! lol :lol: :lol:
 
I would say about 50% gay/stright ratio on the terrace and about 85% stright and 15% gays on the inside.
 
I went last year too - was awesome. i agree with the guys in that inside you wouldn't even notice the difference - probably mostly straight.

The terrace is funny though - i didn't notice it being overtly a gay night at all (at first). However at the end of the night i wandered up to the bar on the far end of the terrace and suddenly realised i was surrounded by large men with their tops off!!!! 8O haha

....don't worry though i think that was only because it was kicking out time....i really didn't notice the gay/straight ration at all - its the best night at Amnesia.

I just wanted to anke sure it was not exclusively gay as there were one or two places in Canal Street, Manchester where straight people were not really encouraged to attend.

La Troya sounds like a great mix.

Night sorted and my first trip to Amnesia to watch the Ice Cannons knock some guys slingbacks off :lol:
 
I went last year too and it was my favourite night by a long way. I think cookie's estimate is about right. Mostly straight on main dancefloor and predominantly gay on the terrace.

It was sooo good last year. Definitely one of the highlights of my hol.

Wish I could go in June but we come home tuesday night :cry: Ah well there's always September :P
 
i am straight and I consider my gaydar to be above par... i went last year to check it out... i would say it was 80%+ gay. not a good place if u are not comfortable with all of that.
 
Yeah: especially when they start the espuma!
All my gay friends ran from the back room screaming:
" My outfit! My outfit!"
