JOHN O'CONNOR (IRELAND)
John after falling in love with the quirky sounds of electronic music started DJing over 13 years after persuading his parents to buy him a cheap pair of belt-drive turntables and a 2 channel mixer and collecting precious pieces Vinyl , and is now one of Ireland most respected DJ's,and you only have to take one look at his schedule to see this .
He has played at some of Europe's tops clubs like The Ministry of Sound London , The Tripod and The Button Factory Dublin, Trinity Rooms Limerick , Gianpula and Numero Uno Malta ,not to mention in his beloved home town of Ennis holding a residency with his monthly club night "ALIVE" @ the Queens Nightclub in Ennis Co.Clare Ireland, which is a newly renovated state of the art nightclub in ennis . 2010 and 2011 have been busy times for this passionate Dj , with playing at Festival's like The Ministry of Sound Festival in Malta , Life-Festival - Bump Festival - Mystik Festival in Ireland and such clubs as The Tripod ,The Pod ,The Button Factory ,Trinity Rooms ,The Queens etc etc

With early musical influence's as a kid listening to his brother's music collection .He found himself listening to the like's of Kraftwork , Joy Division , New Order , Genesis , Mike Oldfield , Pet Shop Boys and Duran Duran,Thin Lizzy to name but a few . John also due to his family's musical history took influence from classical music , where he took great inspiration from Vivaldi , Mozart , Tchaikovsky, and many more . It is an unusual fleet of music one would say , but it is from all this that John found music with emotion , and journey so appealing, whether it was Electronic ,rock ,pop,or classical,He was so open to creativity in sounds .
John's main early influences in DJing are Sasha +John Digweed,Nick Warren,Dave Seamen,Carl Cox. It was Sasha and Digweeds sound and creativity as DJs and their unique and captivating performances that made John want to DJ in the first place. John is fast building a great reputation in Ireland ,the UK,and now internationally. John's sound is one of a journey and captivates people where ever he plays with his unique style of choice when choosing tracks to play, that he likes to describe as " layering emotional sounds into a journey, and it is about playing the best tracks out there no matter what genre it is weather it is house ,tech, techno, break, electronica, progressive, indie nu-disco etc etc" and not following just one genre or being a purist,it is with this that Johns broad knowledge of different genres and love of electronic music that provides him the ability to combine all of this into his sets, while creating a blissful, melodic, emotional, energetic progressive sound and still holding onto that Techno edge. You can be sure when you come to hear John O'Connor play that you are going to hear some special electronic sounds whilst trying to hold on that emotive energy that he creates on the dance floor.
