Km5 Or L´elephant?

thursday is the best night at the moment though they have plans to have live music, entertainment on more nights of the week as the summer kicks in.

How about Sa Capella? Heard it's really nice - and isn't it in anold church or is my age enfeebled mind playing tricks on me..?

yes its an old church/monastery i think i went about 4 yrs ago

to be honest it was ok but i think you are paying for the name a bit

i have had equally good food in less expensive places :D

the thing that galls me about sa capella is the fuss the maitre d makes if you haven't got a reservation - even when you're the only ones there. other than that it is the only rezzie i know with its own supply of reading glasses for vain people like myself - i never take my glasses with me because they spoil the line of your clothes no matter where you keep them.

it's actually an unconsecrated church. built as one but never used as one and out back there's a cave with a shrine you can visit.

i once saw sa capella described in a guide (for young people) as an old monastery where the waiters dress as monks!

lol i didnt see any monks....... 8O

i went to sa capella last summer and i loved it! bit of a "posh" service, but the food quality was superb!!!

re km5 or l'elephant - haven't been to l'elephant (yet), but km5 is always nice i think.

we went last night and were delighted with everything. the patio at the back was quiet and the view reminded us of an andalusian white village. the service was polite and friendly. the food was absolutely delicious - well presented and the flavours fused perfectly - so a big 10 to the young kitchen team. there's a good reasonably priced wine list and the background music is thankfully unobtrusive. we shelled out 65 euros for the two of us.

i was so pleased with everything i 'let' the mrs beat me at chess 3 times on the bounce at cafe babel later on!!
Both times I've been the food has been absolutely spot on, as has the service. The first time I went they gave us complimentary glasses of Hierbas and the second time a free pudding each! And it's a fraction of the price you'd expect to pay for a similar standard of food over here!!!
