Kissdafunk returns to 1.5 Million Refurbished Mission


Get a red pen and circle 29th September in your diary, as Kissdafunk is back at Mission ….but you’re not going to recognise it! After a 1.5 million pound make-over the club has been transformed into a state-of-art party space ready to take the Kissdafunk experience to the next level.

Returning to its spiritual home after its mind-blowing weekly Ibiza residency and Bank Holiday Extravaganza at Discotheque the DJ Mag Top 50 Club will check-in to the New and New & Improved Mission; just 6 days after the re-launch. And for those that have missed seeing flagship party at its spiritual home it’s more than worth the wait

Say goodbye to congested archways and say hello to:

• A brand new main dance arena in a new location and twice the size of the existing one.
• A designer two level chill out space complete with sumptuous beds to lounge about on
• A completely remodelled, all weather, outside terrace where you can grab a bit of fresh air whatever the weather.
• A s****y new reception area
• The new designer –led two level Mission Test VIP Lounge room area
• A new state-of-the-art sound, AV and lighting system complete with plasma screens
• A stunningly designed new main bar areas
• Two new toilet areas added to the existing block.
• Total redecoration throughout the venue.
• A 50 per cent increased venue capacity (when club is fully opened)

But that’s not the only surprise. Welcoming KDF to the new surroundings and joining the fabulous Rob Tissera and Trophy Twins will be producer hot-shots Herd & Fitz. The New Mission is Finished and Raring to Go for Kissdafunk

Last night (Wed 20th Sept) saw the new Mission open its door to the public and its already received the thumbs up from the KDF camp.

Rob Tissera who went down explains; I have been looking forward to the refurb with baited breath and now weve actually seen it finished and in the flesh were overjoyed with how it looks. Every single aspect of the interior, sound, lighting and feel of the place has been vastly improved.Were in no doubt that the KDF crowd will absolutely love it. We just cant wait to get going.

KDF co-promoter Tolley adds; this really is an amazing transformation. KDF fans wont be disappointed.

The changes are dramatic. The main room has doubled in capacity and is now situated in a new space and where the old Arch 54 used to be located.

In the meantime the old main room has been transformed into a inside/outside terrace that also doubles as a smoking area for when the new laws take place next year. Other changes include s****y new bar areas including a very stylish VIP area and a spilt level chill mezzanine style out zone. The whole place is much more spacious leading to less congestion on busy nights, such as Kissdafunk.

Its not just the decor thats been changed, the whole venue has also been refitted with a brand new lighting rig, massive plasma screens and a incredible Funktion One sound system, making it a fantastic new venue in Leeds and the perfect home for Top 40 Club. Kissdafunk.

The party returns to the new Mission on Friday 29th September after a three month sabbatical where it completed its first season at Kanya Beach in Ibiza.

Headlining the party are the purveyors behind the contemporary club anthem Just Cant Get Enough; Herd and Fitz. Jon Fitz who played for KDF in Ibiza exclaimed I cant wait to get behind the decks at Kissdafunk Leeds as the crowd and atmosphere in Ibiza was incredible. Everyone was just whooping, dancing, cheering and clapping. Id heard Leeds is even better, if that possible, so in a new club where everyones excited its just going to go off the scale.

Joining the dynamic duo will be Rob Tissera, The Trophy Twins (Radio One), Filthy Rich with Matt Cooper and Bryony in the new second room.
