UNBELIEVABLY GOOD

the venue is perfect, they absolutely rocked it and the atmosphere was incredibly intense.

respect to manumission for once again pushing the boundaries.

haven't had so much fun in ages!

absolutely gutted i missed this. i knew they would go down a storm over there. i get stuck with the automatics!!!

cannot wait to see them again at the barras.

Rock IS electronic music.

Most if not all the sounds are amplified and manipulated electronically.

Rock is also dance music, if it's fast enough.

Andy McKay:

“A lot of people were sceptical when we launched Ibiza Rocks last year, but now it couldn’t be more different! We recognised the sheer thirst for live music in Ibiza and we were the first to introduce band culture into club culture. Hardened clubbers may criticise us for re-introducing the guitar to the island, but we genuinely feel that we are helping ensure the future of the clubs in Ibiza. We are living through an exhilarating shift in youth culture and it is vital that we allow each generation to discover and re-invent dance music in a way that is relevant to them and the time they live in. Anyone who tries to impose strict rules on a youth movement is harming it. Last year, we followed club culture rules and put bands on at 4am, but due to the huge success of Ibiza Rocks, this year we have Bar M - a dedicated live music venue where bands will play full live sets at 9 or 10pm. We are breaking rules in Ibiza.. and it’s working.”

Bar M is a much better venue to hold a rock gig as opposed to a HUGE nightclub at 4am though. I'll concede the gigs looked good and there were a few dates I would have liked to have been there for. Thought Rockaoke looked like a laugh too.

Going to see a band for a few hours by the beach before going clubbing appeals to me (although Im not sure id be too happy about havin a pint thrown over me)
