Hello love! You ok? :D
I've just ordered the detox pack that you and Dave do.
Is it a good one then? (10 days or something?)
Any hints and tips for recipes?

Hello  I know I'm not Karen but me and Tom do those 3/4 times a year. Which one are you doing?? We do the 5 day one - so I can start on a Sunday and finish on a Thursday ready for the retox at the wkend

Dr Vogels?

For what it's worth (even) I did one of these and I'm quite evangelical about ithem really. They'r preety damn good. Like exercise in the way it relaeases all those "feel good about yourself" things.

I just stuck mostly to rabbit food (I did it in the Summer) for a week and a half, adding chicken as the only real flavour item that I could think of. I did eat cous cous accidently til day 3, which was a bit of a drama.

1 meal, is to get bits of chicken and veg's, chop em up and make a standard tomato sauce (from tinned tom's), with "one of everything" from the spice rack, and serve with (brown) rice (takes aaaages to cook, nearly doube or triple time of white IME). There's a Thai Red Curry past that you can mix in with it too.

One thing I may reccomend, is that Sainsburys (maybe others though sainsbrys was pretty extensive) had a small section (with their own brand FreeForm) dedicated to wheat/dairy/taste intolerant foods. All at nearly triple the prices, (6 slices of bread for £3!) though quite a few things to make a meal out of, ready steady cook style. So (organic) beans on toast I think is ok.

I'm due one soon as it goes...

As Dan says I think they're really good. Tom got me into doing them a couple of years ago and we do one 3 or 4 times a year. We just do the 5 day one (you can buy the kit in Boots) and you get a potion and a tablet for each day. Then basically all we eat for the week is fresh fruit, salad, veg and fish and drinkwise just $hit loads of water and green tea.

I was very sceptical about them at first but they really do make a difference - sometimes on day 1 you might feel a bit tired and some people get tired but that's due to your body releasing all the $hit, but by day 2 onwards I find I have so much energy and I'm running round like a mad woman on speed, your skin and hair glow and you just feel on top of the world

The only thing I will say it is hard fitting one in and we only do the 5 day one, it's really hard getting 5 days when you've got no commitments etc so I often have to cancel drinks/meals cos I take the view that if I'm going to do something I want to do it properly and not have sneaky spritzers

...and there's me thinking you'd all take the pi$$! Where did this secret detox club come from and why wasn't I invited to join before? :?

I'm obsessively healthy most of the time during the week anyway - so I think it'll only be a few minor adjustments.

...It'll be easier if you tell me what not to eat.

I might start the morning after trade...if I can find a pulse I'll just ride with that till I can wean myself back on the rabbit food, seeds and pulses.

 Didn't anyone tell you about the secret detox group  ;)

Tbh I don't find it that hard either cos I do eat lots of fresh stuff and fish as part of my everyday eating so it probably won't be that much of a difference to you.

amazing.

go to the big ones in May and October...the little ones are cool too but all those freaks in one place is a bit of a sensory overload.

It's strangely not pervy either - more arty :lol::?...and without doubt one of the friendliest and most eclectic crowds you will ever find yourself in.

Go - even if just once. ;)
