I AM IN LOVE.

Sorry I know I am super late to get this, but I had to post. Was going to get the Nick Warren Shanghai, but it was ON SALE for $26.99 :roll: (what balls....)

BUT...Guess what was right near it alphabetically: Mr. Z, on sale for $17.99. This is the most unique artistry I have ever heard. EVER!! I was running yesterday and actually smiling and sweating like an asylum escapee. It was like someone threw ten half prozac, half energy pills in my mouth when I put on those headphones.

This man should be crowned king of the funky deep basslines. It can get erratic but still followable... makes you WANT to pay attention, you don't have to try. Its like the glowing comedy in a sea of dramas. You'll hear every sort of style from Sander to Sasha to even Nine Inch Nails type of stuff, but it has clearly been made his own. It is fun and spooky and not of this planet... GET IT.

Sorry my writing is utterly despicable this morning because I am super busy at work, but I had to get that out for my own Catharticism :lol: :lol: My little heart was gonna burst :P

Stephen... yes it wasn't the most poignant phrase was it LOL. Truthfully though, I am glad JZ's tunes don't have these deep lyrics because it would take away from the fun and carefree feel of the music. I'll leave the deep, emotional crap to the trance gods :P

Might you enlighten us with some of the profound lyricism in some of the "old fart" music you listen to? :lol: :lol: :lol:

that was four words stephen ;) can't argue with you however... his voice puts me to sleep but the man could write.

trumplesneaker (LOL what IS that name? :lol: ) thank you... I am going to buy. Saw it at Tower yesterday and it was pretty cheap... thought that might be because it sucked so I passed.
 
I heard and saw jay-z last saturday for the first time at club q zurich. such a likable artist. I'm looking forward to the next 10 years he'll hopefully rule the scene.. check out his fx skills on renaissance.co.uk

at the end he gave me his "sound in motion" compilation (hooj), already in 2003 state-of-the-art!!

Gutted tho, he's playing a boat party on Friday in Bristol but none of my mates are going....thinking of going myself but then again. :?
 
PG79, what a good 'un you are for pointing me in the direction of this guy.

I agree 100% with your review and especially like his technical breakdown of disc 2 in the notes - very technical but a nice insight into his methods!

Best listened to at high volume in the dark whilst gently mashed - it just takes over your life for 2 and a half hours :D

Just listening to 2/6 Feelin' Electro and I think my speakers are at meltdown 8O 8O

Can't wait to see him at Space on the 4th.
