just got back
Just got back yesterday from week in ibiza with the girlfriend. Stayed at the Marco Polo which was next to the 'egg' Just a few bits of info on prices and other bis etc from when i was there.
Drinks - most places in west end 5 euros for pint of vodka redbull along with some cheap and nasty drinks - u basically get a free shot everywhere after the annoying pr's get hold of u. A bottle of bud in amnesia (cream) was 12 euros! a cheap ten pound or so!
Bus to ibiza town was 1.70 euros
Ferry to the amazing beach of cala bassa was 9 euros
did a good snorkelling trip for 18 euros
most food places in san antonio are similar and up to say 10 euros for decent main course although there are some more upmarjet restaurants around.
Clubs - best night for me was clubland at es paradise with n trance and live performance of 'set u free' by the girl from it. The actual club decor etc is nothing like u will ever see.
Cream at amnesia was pretty special although the main room is heaaving and to move around is bit tricky. Not being a drug person to be offered pills by four different english people in cream with first two minutes of arriving was an eye opener.
We turned up at bar m for the the free bus at 12am but were told we may be able to get on one at '2.30am'. we got taxi instead from san antono which was only 15 euros.
was a bit dissapointed with cafe del mar - think its built up more than it shoul;d be. there were three bars a bit further up called kanya-coastline and savanna or something like that - they looked amazing compared to del mar. i guess del mar has such a reputauion that everybody goes there. i cant fault the sunset and the atmosphere though.
Ibiza town was a good day/evening out with some good bars etc and all the trannys on stilts!
best bar/pub went to in west end is breezes bar - they have no pr's and do a drink called dead mans walking which comes in a big tub! 40 euros or so
overall ibiza is an amazing place and i dont think its as hardcore as it has a reputaion for. the clubs are like clubs u will never see before and need to be done. the west end is full of cheap bars and pubs and a few smaller clubs. a good idea to go there before clubs if u r not up for £10 a beer in cream!
